Good to hear. Obviously, FS1 is not in ESPN's league—yet. Give it a little time. As FS1 adds more sports, they'll add more eyeballs. I expect FS1 to grab a slice of the NBA.
Fox is smart and they have deep pockets. I would bet on them to succeed.
somebody should send this article to Buzz. Maybe he will change his tune? Not.
MLB just started last week on FS1. I have to believe Fox will get a slice of the Big Ten in 2015. It will only get better.
Reds at Cards is on FS1 tonight. 40 plus MLB games plus playoffs on FS1.
New show started at 5pm, America's Pregame. Not to bad!

It's going to take a LOT of time, but that's the nature of the beast. Too many properties locked up for many years to come.

That's why I think the best chance for Fox to expand its offerings is to grab a slice of the NBA. Obviously, ESPN isn't going anywhere...and TNT has done a nice job. But the NBA will see Fox's deep pockets and sell them a chunk.

Well, the NBA will definitely see them as another bidder that will drive the price up further. Whether they get it or not is another story. Let's not forget that just a few months ago the NFL Thursday night games were up for bid and FS1 did not get those, CBS did.

NFL Thursday deal was horrible though. I doubt Fox wanted to pay big money so that it could be simulcast along with NFL Network.

It had its issues, but Fox was still in the bidding.
I'm not convinced Fox wants the NBA just yet, though certainly the NBA wants FOX to drive up the price. We'll see how it shakes out. Fox still has to figure out the contracts for FS1 with most MSO's at this point.
