Vitale already has a reduced role. He's basically does a cameo role for ESPN these days.
Should have retired in the 70's. Then maybe the ND teams with 5 NBA players mighta won a championship.
At least when Marquette plays now, we won't get a negative analysis, although, this year Digger was probably spot on.

Actually, ESPN didn't renew Digger Phelps. Different from him "retiring" on his own.

Unfortunately for them, they ran up against Magic's Spartans. Woolridge, Laimbeer, Tripucka, Hanzlik....who is the 5th to make the league from that team?

I believe Tracy Jackson played a couple of years in the NBA.

Just looked it up cuz I was wondering about Bruce Flowers - he was drafted in 2nd round, but only played professionally in Europe.
