Was messin' 'round on Sat nite re: Cal. But word is - win or lose 2nite - it's a #DoneDeal ...Cal 2 La-La-Land 2 coach Mamba's Lakers. #NoBS
Interesting. Not the "done deal" part...but that Cal would go to LA to coach the Lakers.
Lakers need to make a splash. This would qualify. Just wonder if Cal will have more NBA success the second time around.
It will be nice not to have to worry about the dominoes from this should it happen......
And what do you wanna bet that those ping pong balls bounce right for them & they get one of those 1st 4 spots in the draft
Stupid Rumor. Coach Cal already failed in the NBA. What's he going to do? Recruit in LA? Sorry.... you have to draft.
if this is the case, wonder what the chances would've been that Buzz would have gotten a call from KU

Maybe the domino would be Matthews changing his commitment to MU.

If it isn't a rumor, than Calipari is the stupid one- NBA generally is where coaching careers go to die. The few exceptions are the teams that have a LeBron, Jordan, Durant, Duncan. Those guys are extremely rare though.

I can't take the possibility seriously, but what a nice thought.
Brett to UK
Wojo to VT

I think VCU would finally have something to worry about however. There's got to be a select few job(s) Shaka is holding out for, and really none are more prestigious than UK, a small few may be as prestigious, but not more so. They are a true blue blood program.
Could this possibly explain Shaka Smart's supposed change of heart? Or, perhaps why Ben Howland has fallen off the face of the earth?
I've heard rumors of Cal to New York to coach the Knicks, just hearsay though.
Would love to see that dirty f**k leave the sport I love. Lots of dominoes would fall...Matthews to MU? Probably not....but not impossible
Kentucky Loss #DoneDeal

I might have to rescind the statement above. On my way to go watch the game (yes I do get out) Sirius Radio (College Sports Network) was saying that the Lakers have "no comment" that this is a done deal. Hmmmm.... if they didn't deny ..... it makes me suspicious.

WHY?????
Why does this board spend so much effort reading into
nothing? According to you the Lakers said " "; from that you can infer...
nothing.
Think of it this way: what benefit will the Lakers get from releasing an official statement about the rumor at this time? Since the answer is NONE, they chose to put forth the least possible effort and do nothing. So don't read into it!

The Lakers did deny it, twice tonight from the GM and their head of PR.
Lakers are refuting Calipari to Lakers story put out by Rex Chapman before NCAA tip: GM Mitch Kupchak says "rumor is untrue"
