does the university notify serious recruits, those who have a firm commitment to the school of an impending coaching change, i.e. the coach that recruited you is leaving? then along those same lines, would said school give the recruits a heads up on who they are bringing in? either way, i could understand a no answer to both as how do the schools keep the developing info under wraps until it's a a done deal? with all this talk about which recruits we may keep or not, it just got me thinking...
Can't imagine this would be the case.
"Hey Med......Bill Cords here. Just wanted to let you know Brent is leaving, but don't worry Shaka is a done deal. See you in August."

It's doubtful that a school can get ahold of its recruits before.they find out from another source about a coach leaving. It'd be impossible to let currents players or recruits know what is happening behind the scenes without that information leaking out and potentially souring a deal. A wise school lets players and recruits know about a hire just before it's formally announced publicly, to make them feel that they are a part of the program.

Recruits know next to nothing about a coach's impending career move. Plus there are rigid NCAA rules contacting a recruit until they reach their senior year. I think most recruits go to a school because of the head coach and they have no interaction with anyone else who is employed by the school, as a result the last thing a school should do is drop a VM to a stranger about a coach leaving town.
thanks. just wondering if behind the scenes, the school has any way of protecting, say a prized recruit. i understand the problems that could occur-word getting out, i.e. shaka is coming, then not... but if say marquette has a real stud coming in, you wonder if sokmehow they can get a coach under wraps QUICKLY, then get him in touch with the stud recruit. i also understand that this "stud recruit" however, was attracted to the school by the previous coach. like if we had a Jabari parker like guy coming. i hate the one and dones, but someone along that caliber yet maybe wanting a 3-4 year education-i know, pretty weird, but mcbuckets stayed 4 years

Dougie McBuckets said yesterday that he would have gone pro after last year if Creighton had not joined the Big East.
plus, i wonder how much having his daddy coaching, but why if they join the big east-especially the year after they essentially were re-worked?

Generally speaking a note comes from one of the coaches that is staying behind. So in this case most likely Wainwright sent out notes to the recruits.

that's what i was wondering. but then you have to worry about them tweeting it out unless they threaten to spank their pee pee if they do

Tanned Tommy usually let's ESPN do his talkin' for him
From the title of this thread, I'm shocked as to how few folks have replied.
I have a serious question. If the same person keeps looking at my LinkedIn profile over and over, does that mean something?
Am I supposed to ask them what's up? Or is it just plane cyber stalking on their part?

Tanned Tommy told the recruits, just not the players on MU's team.

I only looked at your profile 633 times in the past 72 hours. Stalking doesn't start until at least 1000 views, so quit your crying.

Typically, Private Investigators only look at profiles that much. Nothing to worry about, except when you see a group of sound and cameramen come out of the woodwork, and next thing you know, you're on the TV show Cheaters. I hope your girlfriend doesn't pack a mean right hook.

How do you know who's looked at your LinkedIn profile? Are they sending you invites or something?

Recruiters are usually looking at your LinkedIn profile. When you go to "People You May Know", I sometimes look when the name/photo sounds familiar and I can't recall from where they might be familiar from. Usually the Contacts in Common is a hint.
I think you have to subscribe to Premium to see who's viewing your profile?
FOR THOSE IN THE KNOW-----I think this has been hashed out, ---- Fischer comes in at mid-semester,
does he have two full years left or just two years and done. Hope it's 2 1/2 yrs.

You can see the last 5 people who viewed your profile. Premium allows you to see everyone who has viewed.

I get an email from LinkedIn saying who's viewed it and you can see it on the website.
Some clown who I think is trying to sell me on the nonsense he sells. But he never contacts me. Just every couple of weeks there the mouth breather is again on the list of people viewing my profile. Very scary. I don't like it.

I relish my anonymity on this board. Only place in my life where I can speak my mind freely and with only minor repercussions. And, yes, I know that is pathetic.

I have a 2nd linked in profile that I only signed up for, but never filled out anything. It gets spammed by a person who's within 30 miles all the time. I don't think it's done by one person, but or more less, your name got on a spam list somehow.
