Title: Dino Trigonis
Post by: Fullodds on April 03, 2014, 08:30:19 PM
First name I've seen mentioned with Wojo:

Chad Groth ‏@areacodes  5h
Rumors flying around in Dallas @FinalFour that @trigonis30 could be headed to Marquette. The best kept secret to getting players.

This dude seems connected as heck. Would make a big splash on the recruiting in the future and maybe even uncover a few gems if we need to fill vacant schollies

I don't get what the catch is.  What's the connection to Wojo or MU? Why hasn't he had an opportunity before?

I love it, honestly. I dig bringing in guys that understand the business of basketball. Marquette is a brand that needs to be managed and marketed. The recruits coming in are entry-level employees that need to be developed so that they can move onto a lucrative career.

Maybe I like it because it resonates with me. It seems like the genuine care that Dino displays to the kids attending his camps and that play for his club really appreciate his candor and care.

Sounds like a solid dude.

I don't know but the more I think about it, just wow. This guy has major pull if he would do it.

Good questions.  And why is an LA lifer who runs so much with his self-made brand interested in giving it up to come to Milwaukee to be an assistant coach?

Whoopdy doo!!!!  It's a facade.  I've seen smart business people do the same thing.  They drive the crap car to work, but have a porsche and 5000 sq. ft. home.  It just means he's smart.  What is funny is that you're all drooling over him just like Buzz.  He is a character like buzz.  Screwed once..... screwed twice....  it's just as nice.

"There are about 10 players that are 2015 locks add Stone, Diallo, Dorsey, Labissiere, Elijah Thomas and Bragg to that list"---from his twitter feed.

Have to admit, was my initial reaction as well. That said, my guess is he's not makin much money doing what he's doing.

Yep, color me a skeptic at a minimum.  Also, what are the compliance implications?  I know AAU coaches are hired frequently, but are there any examples of precedence for someone with this background?

World Wide Wes?  Gives me that sort of vibe.
Dude's making too much dough to become an assistant coach anywhere.

Yes.  He's a poor man's World Wide Wes.  Get him.  Every great coach has a recruiting lackey on the bench.  Wojo should have sent this snake to visit Cohen.  He'd probably have Cohen going to class at Seymor tomorrow morning in an Escalade ..... on DUBS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like there's a set of 28s in Seymour..... they're not ready for such things.  Roll out the DUBS and call it a night.

Respect the Process.
