Last day being on social networks. Shutting it all down. It's time to grind my family gotta eat. My life can change in 15months

Um, I like that mindset...a lot.
no more twitter for players?

It's not that hard to figure out.

15 months is next years NBA draft

I hope so....that will bum out a bunch of 30 to 50 year olds that are followers, but so what. Hope Wojo shuts that down ASAP
It means he is planning on being a top PG next year, good enough to get in the draft. Twitter is taking up too much time. He prefers utilizing the athletic facilities to hone his game.
NBA Draft in 15 months? Who knows.

I have zero problem with that.

He says he's in great pain and wants to know if you can help him.
I also like the idea of our players being off twitter. So many times you would see them tweeting minutes before games and whatnot. Well maybe not minutes but close to when you'd think they would be focusing their efforts elsewhere in preparation for said game or whatever.
Not if Derrick plays 38 minutes a game.
Great.
Sounds like Wojo might have zero tolerance for social media. IMO it is a great policy, as it helps eliminate a potential distraction for student athletes.

Wojo will probably try to win.
Just so everyone knows, Diamond Stone tweets constantly, like many other top HS players. Just something to keep in mind before you put a no social media policy in place, which IMO would be idiotic.
I interpret it that he is going to work his ass off. Which I believe he did, but Buzz negated him.
Wojo does not get credit for this because the kid said he was staying previously.

If Derrick Wilson has a decent season, then you know Wojo is a good coach.

Shaka reportedly has a no Twitter policy for his players.
Thank God MU didn't hire that guy.
FWIW, Jabari Parker is pretty active on Twitter, so I'd be surprised if a ban is coming.

Highly doubt twitter plays a part in whether a recruit goes to a particular school. If so, that's quite ridiculous.

Maybe. But don't underestimate the forum it provides for these guys. Wiggins had over 100,000 followers before he ever put on a KU jersey. Stone clearly loves the attention he gets.

Let's say you have two job offers that are equal in every way, except one forbids you from visiting MU Scoop even on your own time. Would that play even a small part in your decision?

No job offers are ever equal in every way. I enjoy scoop for recruiting and news that's related to mu ball but I could certainly do without it. Being without scoop or other certain forms of social media would certainly rid a lot of negativity out of my life.
I choose not be unhappy unlike many on here. I know that's a bit off topic but some posters on here are the most negative and unhappy ppl I've ever seen.

So you would prefer the Scoop banned job?

All I'm saying is that it would not be a deciding factor for me.

Also, note that he tweeted this early this morning, before the news broke. And, it is April 1st--might be his little joke to his followers.

Based on my productivity and state of mental health since the coaching search started, it's safe to say that my employer did it with my best intentions in mind.

Actually it probably does. A player doesn't want to be banned from being social, and therefore would be more likely to commit to a school thats less worried about their social lives.
