Shayok wants out of NLI......
We know. They all want out(incoming recruits)
Yep. No loss.

This is not unusual regardless of the hire. Remember Tyshon Taylor? When Crean left Buzz couldn't retain him. I think this class' version will be Hill. Unfortunately, we will watch Hill win a National Championship with UK and we will simply wonder what could have been. It may take a couple of years, but we will recover.
Hill is Wojo's first major recruiting test. If he can keep Ahmed at MU, I'll be instantly sold.
He will ask for it but he may still end up at MU. Give Coach Wojo some time!

Or at least Cohen.

What's interesting about that, is Tyshawn Taylor's high school coach, Bob Hurley (father of former Duke standout PG, Bobbey Hurley) was the one who influenced Taylor's decision to turn down MU after Crean left. Buzz had recruited Taylor to play for Crean, and Hurley was on board with Crean's tutelage of Taylor. After the change, though, Hurley, wasn't impressed with Buzz as a head coach and thought he'd hinder his development.
Good, the new Coach needs some slots for flexibility.
Not really worried or torn up about Shayok. Easily our least impactful recruit for next year.

A decision Taylor said he regretted. He wasn't the happiest at Kansas and mentioned how important Buzz was in his life. That was bs on Hurley's part. I don't think Kansas offered Taylor coming out of high school. It wasn't until the time Crean left and before Taylor enrolled Marquette that Hurley used it as leverage to get him at KU.

Not sure of that. I think he could easily have played 5-8 min a game. Not bad for a freshman.
His attacking style and ability to play above/around the rim would be very helpful.
I think it would be in the best interests of the recruits to hear what Wojo has to say, and then consider their options before they take any position regarding their NLI.
MU and Wojo may very well be the best outcome for these recruits at this juncture... immediately saying you want out can only hurt your own situation.
Has he discussed it with Wojo?

Was Shayok signed? I thought he was a verbal.
Malek Harris was the verbal only

Yup. Just another guy who wouldn't have seen the court. Just keep Hill.
Like the hiring process, there is nothing to do but let it play out.
