Those are my only two choices? Hmmmmmmmm. I guess Martin. How's that for a ringing endorsement?
Wow, a poll with more than one choice...what a concept. Eldon, you see how that's done :o
Player coach Chris Otule
Has this been floated yet?
If Otule is not available, then the hologram of AL is my first choice
I vote for none of the above.
I will give Wojo the benefit of the doubt in regards to other Duke assistants who became "failures" as head coaches. Its not like he would be coming to the BIG, ACC or BIG 12. This is the NEW BIG EAST where NO team is a juggernaut.
With that said, I still want Cuonzo.
None of the above. We need tier 1. Does MU want a tier 1 program or hope to make the NIT? If NIT is what is desired then let's move on. If NCAA final 4 then select a proven final 4 coach. Like the A T&T commercial it's not hard but you do need to make a choice. The coach selection this year will tell us where MU is going. Words are meaningless. Actions will tell the real story.

I'm with you. Better than the recent names floating around.
Like a number or elections I have voted in, I choose to leave that office blank
I'd rather have chlamydia.

Whewww; tough one-tough one- I'd say cuonzo- he'll have a chip on his shoulder with his tenn treatment-but I bet the admin is thinking long and hard about that duke prestige- ( and wojo knows it; which is why almost everyone hates dukies)

I mean we did just hire back to back assistants that did done pretty great things for us; not sure that it's NIT or final four between the two- to me the biggest issue is getting someone who can have success year 1- no one will give a crap who we hired if we can show our program momentum remains going up year 1!
If it is Wojo, he will know how to teach flops and work the refs for calls.....we will have our own little Bo.
I'd stick with our current staff, Wainwright (assistant coach). No head coach or other assistants.

I go with that if we get a great point guard.
Sh.t, if those are the two, give me Chew.
Vote currently sits at a tie. I would be happy with either.

Just curious Chicos, who would be your choice? If I remember right, you aren't high on Howland.

I have mixed feelings on Howland. He's a good coach, he has proven it at three locations. I worry about his age, I'm not crazy about the Shabazz recruitment (though most of that was stuff that had nothing to do with the 5 schools recruiting him...it had to do with his amateur status).
Gregg Marshall was high on my list, but apparently never even a sniff. He may have skeletons in his closet, I don't know.
Smart would have been terrific. Can't help but think we screwed any prospects we had on that one with leaks. Bennett, of course, but not going to happen.
The good news is that it appears at least we are attempting to get in the game with major players, we have kicked the tires plenty on others.
I think it's not a surprise at all that NO ONE on Buzz's old staff was considered, and there are reasons why.
This is a close one:
Cuonzo has HC experience; Wojo doesn't.
Wojo has Coach K's teachings and the Duke lineage; Cuonzo has the Big Dog and whatever the boilermakers did in the 90s

I agree with the fact that Cuonzo has head coaching experience. And I fee like he has a better chance of staying if he is successful. But I'd still rather someone else...Howland over these two.
Martin...has recruited successfully at 2 schools, both of which are challenges.
Hard to know whether Wojo can recruit b/c the Duke name does almost all of the recruiting.
