With the strong rumor that Mike Montgomery may be retiring from Cal, will MU still be the top job on the market? Cal has a lot to offer. Fantastic academics...power conference...nice on-campus arena...great weather...relatively low pressure. They won't pay $2.8 million per year, but they bring a lot to the table.
I'm sure if we sit around long enough, someone else will scoop up Howland.
Sigh....

Agree. Plenty of time has passed for due diligence on Howland. Somebody does not want him at MU or we would have had a deal by now.

In answer to you question, No, Marquette will still be the top open job. Sorry.
There's no guarantee that Cal will have an interest in Howland, as shocking to some as that might be.
