Ponder the links below while remembering that Bucky starts 4 white players.
I going to guess that Wisconsin's "whiteness" will be a major story line this week.
------
According to this story from 2009 ...
http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2009-04-03/sports/ncaarace03_1_goran-suton-black-and-white-college-basketball
Since the 2000 tournament, 34 of 40 Final Four teams played consistently with no more than one white starter during that particular year. The 2003 Syracuse team, with white starters Gerry McNamara and Craig Forth, was the only one to win a championship.
The last championship team to rely on at least three white starters was Duke in 1991, its first of back-to-back championships thanks to Bobby Hurley, Christian Laettner and Billy McCaffrey, who started most of that season.

Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan knows how to win

Each player from Wisconsin's starting five — Ben Brust, Sam Dekker, Josh Gasser, Traevon Jackson and Frank Kaminsky — was asked to use one or two words he thought Arizona players would use to describe the Badgers on the eve of Saturday's NCAA Tournament West Regional final between the two schools at Honda Center.
Brust: "Resilient.''
Dekker: "Disciplined.''
Gasser: "Unselfish.''
Jackson: "Tough.''
When it was Kaminsky's turn, he looked flummoxed, having listened to his four teammates use up all the good answers. Then he leaned into the microphone and said with a smirk: "White guys.''
Sitting to the far right of his players on the interview podium, Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan took in their answers and came to this conclusion: "Not one of our guys said, 'Athletic.' Did you notice that?''
Most Blacks do not play Wisconsin's style of ball. They are more athletic. They're game is more Flash.
Im starting to like that Kaminsky guys sense of Humor (No joke)
But yea, I think they will become the team that most of America cheers for because they look like the underdogs, especially if they play Kentucky with no white players (Except for the dudes on the bench)
Name Kaminsky sounds like cop.

Grant Hill says people hate Duke basketball because 'we've had a lot of really good white players'
Hill also observed that most of the fans doing the booing when Duke came to town seemed to share the same skin color (white) as some of the players on Duke, calling it 'white on white hate.'

Someone should thank Grant Hill for adding a little controversy to the start of the NCAA Tournament - and for introducing the phrase, "White on White hate" to the basketball lexicon.
In an interview with Bleacher Report on Thursday, Grant Hill, perhaps the least despised player to ever suit up for Duke, cleared up (or maybe he just made it more muddled) the matter of why so many people hate Duke. The No. 3 Blue Devils (26-8) play No. 14 Mercer (20-12) Friday at 2 p.m. in a Midwest Regional.
"We've had a lot of really good white players," Hill said. "I think that plays a role."
Who knew Hill was so open to pulling the race card?
Hill also observed that most of the fans doing the booing when Duke came to town seemed to share the same skin color (white) as some of the players on Duke, calling it "white on white hate."
"But the funny thing is - and I played with Bobby Hurley and Christian Laettner and they were despised when we went on the road," said Hill, who won a pair of national championships in 1991 and 1992, with Hurley and Laettner as teammates. "But you look into the crowd and it was nothing but white students at the games, so it was white on white hate. It's sad."
"Very under reported," Waters said, "the dangers of white on white hate - for sure."
And the two enjoyed a short laugh at that one.
Once upon a time, Jalen Rose also had a clumsy way of explaining why people don't like Duke, again pointing to the school's reputation as a place of privilege, though underneath the outrage, there's a sense that Rose would have relished the chance to be recruited by Duke.
"For me, Duke was personal. I hated Duke," Rose said in the 2011 ESPN documentary, "The Fab Five" that chronicled the famed 1991 recruiting class at Michigan, which reached a pair of national championship games in 1992 and 1993. The group lost to Duke as freshmen. "And I hated everything I felt Duke stood for," Rose went on. "Schools like Duke didn't recruit players like me. I felt like they only recruited black players that were Uncle Toms."
Rose later softened the tone of that statement, saying: "Well, certain schools recruit a typical kind of player whether the world admits it or not. And Duke is one of those schools. They recruit black players from polished families, accomplished families. And that's fine. That's OK. But when you're an inner-city kid playing in a public school league, you know that certain schools aren't going to recruit you. That's one. And I'm OK with that. That's how I felt as an 18-year-old."
Back when Hill was in his prime, NWA had just burst on to the scene. Rodney King, LA Riots, etc.
Times have surely changed. Why some people seem to hate that fact is beyond me.

Myth.
I guess from the standpoint that the Ku Klux Klan finally has a team to cheer for in the Final Four, it's nice to see UW going to Arlington.
