Marquette offers Marquis MasonMark Miller from the Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook and Wishoops.net (http://www.wissports.net/sports/hoopsb/article.asp?nid=14563) is reporting that Marquette has offered 6'5" sophomore G/F Marquis Mason of Madison East High School. MU is the first program to offer Mason.
According to Miller:
QuoteIn addition to his stellar athleticism, Mason's length and toughness on both ends of the floor are traits that impress collegiate recruiters. Mason is an outstanding shot blocker and rebounder, though he'll likely need to develop a perimeter shot while also continuing to improve his ball handling and moves to his right.
Miller notes that Marquis Mason is the third player from the Wisconsin high school class of 2010 to receive an offer from MU, joining 6'11" Evan Anderson (Eau Claire North HS) and 6'6" SF Flavian Davis (Wisconsin Lutheran HS, Milwaukee).

Most don't even have rankings yet, or at least full rankings. Scout and Rivals have top 10 rankings up, but that's it. Prepstars has a 2010 ranking, but I don't think he's on it. The only full ranking out there is HoopScoop which has him at #382, but their rankings are all over the board. Evan Anderson is top 10 in everyone elses ranking and barely cracks the top 100 in HoopScoop. The important thing to remember is it's still really early. The only other program that is seriously recruiting him right now is the Badger football program.
FWIW, the other player mentioned, Flavien Davis, is in PrepStars top 10 in 2010 and in HoopScoop's top 40 in 2010.
Nice... hopefully they turn out to be as good as projected
