Possibly crazy, but Interim Ad Cords for a year. Interim coach Wainwright for a year. Rivers finishes year with
Clippers and then is announced as the new AD and Coach in June.
Wow. :o
Nah, doubt it. Has Rivers expressed interest in Marquette?
Doc loves MU, but never as a coach. The NBA is just too good a gig for him.

Not as a coach, but as coach and AD? Lots of power...

I'm sure Doc would give up $7 million/year and a young/talented NBA team that has a shot to be in the mix for the NBA title the next few years for about 3-4 million in salary and a smaller private jet.

Coach and ad would pay more than just coach. Just a pipe dream ,but might as well dream big.
WHY would anyone go BACK to a college coaching job from the NBA?
I know Calipari did, but he's part of a very small group that do/did.
Doc's got it good. Nice job, great team, good exposure, very little wear and tear chasing down teenagers and changing their minds to go to his school.
And Cal only did it because he was a flop in the NBA.....72-112....
What interest would he (or any serious coach) have in being an AD too? Waste of time that they don't have.
Maybe when he decides to retire from the NBA, until then no way. Just to good a gig, however, there is one upside to Marquette. That is, less travel and relatively more time with the family.
Scoop has finally jumped the shark...

When you get to the level of Doc Rivers, you simply do not care about a yearly salary. But the other parts are true.
Out of the hundreds of dumb posts from this week, that notion is the prized pig of dumb.

I always question the Doc love MU part. If he did so much, why didn't he send his kids there?

Because its the kids decision on where and what they want to study?
How can some of you guys even serious comment on this?

Let me think...a full ride at MU or Duke. Hmmmmmmm.
Does Doc have eligibility left? I'm thinking playa/coach.
I actually do think Doc would makes a good AD and think he could be just that someday- after he decides he's done with his coaching career.

Maybe, as a responsible parent, he taught his kids to think for themselves.
Doc Rivers isn't coming back to Milwaukee to coach or AD Marquette. Maybe Marotta could take his place?
I heard Phil Jackson was interested in the job
I doubt Doc would leave the nba at this stage, but it sure would be
Great to have him as coach and AD sometime in the future.
Why not the Pope?

Given this, we should just drop basketball as a sport.
Is it April 1 somewhere in the universe? Only explanation for this post.
