Title: Full Court channel ranges CHANGING on Directv
Post by: ChicosBailBonds on November 05, 2007, 08:14:02 PM
Many of you have reached out in the past so I'm just going to do one message on this to save on the back and forth.

This year, channels will NOT be in the 700's but rather 692-699.  First Full Court game is on November 9th

Thanks

fantastic, looking at the Marquette schedule on TV, I will be making many stops to the sports bar next to my house, which means I will be spending money on booze, fantastic, why can't ESPN just love us like Duke and put Marquette on ESPN and ESPN2 20+ times a year, regardless of our talent

Be happy that you only have to go to the sports bar to see them.  As I am sure you know, in years past if you didn't go to the game, you didn't see the game.

Last year I was extremely thankful for ESPN360 despite it's fairly small size and sometimes choppy picture.  It was certainly better than nothing!  Honestly, I'll take seeing a game any way that I can get it.

if you think you're gonna spend that much on booze, just order the package yourself and buy a 12er for each game...much cheaper.

actually platteville bars are really cheap, tell you the truth, to buy the package and a 12er each game on the package would be way more expensive then the bars... here we have 2 dollars a bottle and usually 2 dollar rum and cokes  :)  thats why I hate Milwaukee bars

Chicos, thanks for all the info you provide on ESPN Full Court. I have a quick question for you: Are games that are scheduled for Full Court also shown on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU too? For example, say the Full Court Schedule shows MU v. ND on a given day. Does that mean it is only available on Full Court, or that it could be on Full Court AND one of the other ESPN channels?

Not on ESPN or ESPN2.  Sometimes a Full Court game will also overlap with ESPNU but not often.  Simply put there are about 450 Full Court games that are broadcast on 6 channels so very little overlap.

Now, sometimes you will see a game on a regional carrier (like Time Warner Milwaukee) that will also appear on Full Court.  That happens all of the time, but not with national distribution.

The problem with Platteville taverns vs. Milwaukee taverns is that the level of scenery directly correlates to the price of the beverages.

Thanks Chicos!

No problem....where you will find overlap more than anything is on some of the Regional Sports Networks which are available via Sports Pack.  For example, this Saturday's game is on Full Court and on a RSN.
