:-\ I hope this disease isn't contagious. Might be too late?
He's not getting it until we get a coach and he talks to him.
So relax
Adios, now we have room to upgrade.
Let new guy his team.
If it wouldn't set a precedent for Hill, he'd already have gotten his wish.

I'd like to buy a verb, Alex! ;)
Autry has been reasonably active on the Shayok PR campaign on twitter. I imagine autry and buzz are on him right now. Luckily, he won't move until we get a new coach.
C'mon, let's face it. The odds of any of those recruits--including Hill--setting foot on MU's campus are incredibly steep. They're all gone before they got here.
Does the new coach want switchables?
Buzz buzz buzz buzz

Don't let the door hit ya' where the good Lord split ya'
so conceivably we could have a team with seven scholarship players, two of them named Derrick and Juan. That's promising.

So is Shaka still in play or not?!
Are the benches really that much nicer in Virginia?

That requires a lot of conceiving.

Wouldn't that be a violation?

Dumb question, but can conditions be stipulated in a hypothetical release along the lines of "no VT?"
Dumb question #2, but if they're actively on him, is that a recruiting violation that could be reported as he has signed his LOI?
All the recruits want out. Im fine with that if we get Cuonzo or Howland they will stay
Can't blame em...... Buzz, Autry and Chew recruited them... Now they've jumped ship and we have no coach, Marquettes in too much dismay currently... So we cant be surprised if recruits and current players bail.

Autry has basically just been favoriting and "retweeting" stuff about him. It's like the indirect "im thinking of you"
Good riddance. Never saw him being much of an impact player anyways. So long as Hill and Cohen stay thats a nice core to work off of along with Duane, Dawson, Burton and Fischer.

I think his dad played at Dayton, maybe he has been inspired.

It would be hilarious if Smart ended up as the Marquette coach and Shayok tried to return...how many times can a man go back on his word in one week?

If we keep dorking around, there will be no recruits left to recruit.

As many as Smart does.

He was the favorite to be Bazz's annual newcomer that doesn't make it to the first game.

No, not really. We have eight players plus Fischer right now, and that's assuming every player eligible to return does.
Maybe it will be just Duane and Deonte against the world.

While I don't agree with saying "good riddance," Shayok is the exact type of player that Buzz screwed up the roster with. Long, athletic, can't shoot, no real offensive game.
MU needs guys who can play. Not guys who are athletic and might be able to play.
Yeah, this is non-news to me.
Just expect them all to leave and be happy if we keep one of them (ideally Duane). Expect a number of transfers too. We will likely be rebuilding for a while.

Duane, Dawson, Burton, Fischer are all staying. They said as much.
Let's keep the fragging of recruits to a minimum for the time being. Think of their situation as this: you get a new job because you have a personal relationship with the boss. He tells you what he expects of you, what your duties are, and your 5 year plan for promotions, raises, etc. You are to start in 3 months. In between that start date, the boss and anyone else you've associated with is gone. Even worse, your 5 year plan, salary and duties might be different than what they were before, but you can't know for sure until they install a new boss. So now your dream job might not be a dream job anymore.
We're a bunch of people worried about the future of a program we love to support. These kids are worried about their own futures. Give them a break, and... I hate to say this: respect the process.
(also: #donedeal, I am the source, II,II, and so on).

Precisely, can't even imagine being 18 years old and dealing with this.

Hmmm... happens every 2-3 years to every Swinging Richard who wore the uniform...
yes, we will likely lose most of those recruits if we keep dorking around like we did with Shaka Con.
