What is the likelihood of Jamil getting a cup of coffee in the NBA?
He should start looking into places to get coffee in Europe.
National Builder's Association? I think he has the physical tools to make that work.
With the way our luck is going, He's going to find that killer instinct right after he leaves

More likely serving it at the nearest Starbucks.
Only if he buys a ticket.

+1 I see it happening.

Its easier to find cappuccino in Europe.
Cup of coffee? Pretty decent. NBA body. Exceptionally athletic. Good locker room guy. He could invent himself as a defensive stopper if he wants it. I hope he does. It's there for the taking.

Lack of killer instinct won't keep Jamil out of the NBA. His lack of quickness and skill will.
As much as my bet with Moomooman last year that Otule would be drafted. No. Jamil couldn't make honorable mention in a weakned BE

False. If the will were there, his name would be called.
He will get a tryout on a summer team. Perhaps a coach will see something and take a gamble on "coaching him up" since Buzz gave up on doing that this year. Wilson and Otule should have been much better this year considering their bodies were much more developed. Physically, they were men among boys this year and had nothing to show for it. Thanks Buzz!!! I hope you choke on the next dip you put in your mouth you cantaloupe shaped loser.

Yes he did and was adamant. Can't make it up.
At least Jamil had the physical ability, but something went wrong somewhere.

He has a chance of serving coffee at a Starbucks.

be nice, my 'quette brethren.....I wear gold glasses, and I expected more from him.....but I'm still hoping
and I think he has as good a shot as Jamil.....close to zero at this point.
Junior Cadougan got a chance in the summer league, so why not
My reaction to reading the title of this thread...

Well, Lockett's numbers were way down senior year and he was the last guy cut from an NBA roster. Buycks needed a couple years in Europe to be ready for the league. JFB was tabbed for mid-late second round until he exploded in pre-draft activities. Perhaps that can all be spun into Bazz having bad player development, in which case Jamil's got a better shot than it seems.
Maybe not this year, but I wouln't write off his NBA chances yet. If he wants it, with hard work he could get himself a shot.

Moo Moo my man, where you been? Glad to see you took the googles off like I told you last year. We had a good, pleasant argument and I too wish Otule well.

I once thought Jamil had the physical ability, but this season changed my mind. He isn't quick enough and as a result, he is unable to create his own offense. He can run and jump, but that's not enough IMO.

This. Had a golden opportunity to put the team on his back and show he could be a leader this year, but just didn't seem to have the fire.
I would've never imagined Dwight Buycks in an NBA uniform (so crazier things have happened). Jamil has all the physical skills - simply needs to get his mind right.

Please tell me whoever thought this has since deleted his screen name on here to save from some of the embarrassment.
The real question is; will Wilson have a chance at getting coffee in a Euro league?
The only one who has even a slim shot at the nba is Gardner.

Jamil has no Heart, Quickness or speed that will have him make a nba roster.

Nyg, what's up paesano. I'm still here, enjoying the back and forth.
My next bold prediction....
Chris Otule will be our next coach!!!!
Lol.
I sat next to 2 scouts from the Clippers at the New Mexico game in Vegas and they were not at all impressed with Jamil. So I say no, he will not play in a NBA game
I never understood, unless it was a coaching decision, why didn't drive to the basket every time he got the ball. A mystery to me. He has the physical skills to be an NBA player. It may just be his mind.

Agreed.
Go off to Europe, find his inner dawg. That is the only way.
i fail to see why making some of these comments about jamil is worth anyone's time....poor taste.
He would need to be a defensive specialist to make it in the league, and he just doesn't have the lateral quickness for it. Guys that mistime their jumps and miss dunks are a dime a dozen in the NBA, so he has nothing that separates him from the pack.
What position would he play at MU? He's too short for PF. Can't shoot, so he's not a SF.

I don't want to be perceived as disparaging Jamil. I loved his contributions to MU on and off the court, and sincerely wish him the best of luck. IMO, he doesn't have the physical ability or skill to make it in the NBA. That's okay, not many do. I certainly won't accuse him of lacking heart or will.

My thought exactly. Does not have a quick enough first step on offense or defense. That is a killer for someone with Jamil's skill set.

Disagree there. He has a nice stroke, maddeningly inconsistent, but a nice stroke. Unfortunately, SF is the most star-saturated position in the league right now.

Wilson cannot shoot, what are you smoking on? Did you watch this season? Compare him to Crowder or DJO when they were at MU. Noticable difference.
