Jeff Goodman @GoodmanESPN 1h
Marquette hired new president today. Still no athletic director, but one coach told me that president is "more important to him than an AD."
Interesting...
Anyone want to discuss who the coach might be?
Old news. You must not be living on scoop like some of us other losers. :(

How can we talk about a coach right now when there's more important things happening. Like: Who is the new Comedysportz cast member? The banquet is soon, and if the new guy/gal doesn't have what it takes, the banquet is gonna be a disaster.

So is it
1) one coach told me that president is "more important to him than an AD.
2) one coach told me
that president is "more important to him than an AD.
1 being the
de dicto interpretation (i.e., the position of president is more important...)
2 being the
de re interpretation (i.e., that specific president [Lovell] is more important...)
(Shout out to any philosophy majors out there)
That coach could be anyone. He could be talking to BO Ryan and he could be "coach" He doesn't say MU coaching candidate.
I could talk to a coach and tweet the same thing. He is out of the loop.
Just getting into his backpedal, that's all.

At this point, it appears everyone is out of the loop.

If there even is a loop.
WRONG.
The correct answer is the Women's Field Hockey Coach at the College of Charleston who is married to the president of the college but was having an affair with the AD. Goodman was simply citing court documents.
Coach was probably Buzz.......

Or...
Apparent implication, improper use of quote: "more important [to him] than an AD" - the personal feeling of quoted coach
As it reads: "more important to him than an AD" - the coach speaking about some other person (him) and knows "his" opinion
Who isn't a coach nowadays, in many senses of the word?

RIGHT! You don't want your banquet ruined by some n00b who has to wear the brown bag all night because of inappropriate comments!

Holla. It's why I roll my eyes every time someone on here quotes Informal Logic to refute an argument. Diagrams or GTFO

Hyperloop! I heard they're building one from Richmond to Milwaukee!
BTW, I would assume that we have an MU alum at the NSA looking into the phone records of all this coaches. Now THAT would be a source. May be even better than relying on flightaware. ;)

Shaka was born on the 17th day of the month. 17 is a prime number. He is our prime target!
Holy crap!!!...Ok ok ok, settle down...ok ok ok...so 66/3 is 22. 22 minus 5 (the four assistants plus the strength coach since they'll be leaving, we subtract) is 17!!!
Guys, this is goin down. Ooooohhh, it's goin down. The numbers are there.
Who is the poster who said that the numbers point to Gregg Marshall? Please step forward. Announce yourself. I dare you. Dare you, to refute this logic.

Actually Krauthamer might work best
might be funny if Comedysportz read Scoop and incorporates something from Monday at the banquet
I'm not sure it's wise to say funny and Comedysportz in the same sentence; you might raise people's expectations
