he never does
So essentially, no new information.
After yesterday, MU won't be giving anyone a sniff on this.
only reports the bad news
Not saying he's right or wrong, but I doubt the "vibe he's getting from Marquette" is that "hey, this guy turned down UCLA, Illinois, Minnesota, etc., why would he even look at us?"
And just that quickly, we're back to the bad Mike.
What a garbage piece of writing. Did I lose one of my 20 articles for the month with that click ?
he linked to a Bleacher Report article as source - wow?

Precisely my thoughts. We've lost him again.
He just retweeted the IWB tweet from yesterday. This guy is a clown.
How does one "get a vibe" from a place putting out "nothing of substance?"
He sucks.
Great Name.
What's so funny is that he waited all day today to post anything and then had literally nothing new to say. Maybe he wasn't just holding his tongue out of prudence yesterday...

Someone from Scoop want to share the MUScoop consensus on Bleacherreports with Mike?

A nice little hack for you... If you open JSO in incognito/private mode (depending on the browser you prefer), your view count gets reset every time.
From what I'm hearing, Shaka Smart isn't leaving Virginia Commonwealth.
He didn't leave VCU for UCLA, N.C. State, Minnesota and Illinois, so why would he start looking at Marquette, Wake Forest or Boston College? That's the vibe I'm getting from Marquette. Meawnwhile, multiple outlets in Richmond say he's staying put.
So where does that leave Marquette?
Ben Howland is available and would take the job if offered. According to a source, Howland hasn't heard back from Marquette.
The Golden Eagles missed out on Archie Miller, who got a big extension from Dayton. Syracuse assistant Mike Hopkins would be an interesting hire if he opted to leave before Jim Boehim retired.
There is nothing of substance coming out of Marquette at the moment, but the Golden Eagles can't drag this out too much longer if they want to get a quality replacement for Buzz Williams.
his link to "multiple outlets in Richmond " is that bleacher report article from earlier today

He was busy wiping up mayonnaise.
I have to ask.... What...does...this...guy...do...all...day??? Maybe we can cut out a part of the new coach's contract to pay Rosiak to come back? PLEASE!

He spends his time schmoozing with the guys on MUTV, hoping to get some inside info.

Refreshes Bleacher Report
If we have to settle for Brian Wardle, that would be a monumental disappointment. The last time a low level coach worked out well for MU was Al. How is VCU a better job than Marquette, UCLA, NC ST?

Wardle would not be lower level than Crean or Buzz at their time of hiring.

I disagree. Crean was an assistant to a hall of fame coach. Brent had head coaching experience plus the inherent advantage of having relationships with our players & recruits. How many other programs list Wardle as a possible candidate? We keep hearing MU has this massive basketball budget. They need to commit to a big name coach with a history of success that will have us competing for a national championship. That is not Brian Wardle at this time.
By low level, I meant head coach at a small-time college program -- St. Peter's - Dukiet; Sienna - Deanne. Wasn't referring to assistant coach at major programs, like Mich. St. & MU.
Hunt is the MU beat writer. Why isn't he creating the news instead of merely recycling it.
If only I could be paid to read scoop and forward it on to others.

Not to burst your bubble - but journalists (used loosely in Hunt's case) REPORT news. They do not CREATE it.
IWB is not a journalist. Hence, he thought a reporter should create news.
