I am just asking the question and they have almost as many all time wins as MU.
This is their best season in 30 years. If they want to move campus from the sticks of Ohio to Boston I'd be game.
The league had a down year, for sure, but, going forward, it is realistically a 3-5 bid conference. The anchors are Villanova, Georgetown and Marquette, and anyone of Providence, St. Johns or Xavier have the potential to have strong seasons in the near future.
Unfortunately, I believe Creighton's season was this one, they will be rebuilding the next couple of seasons. Butler is rebuilding. Seton Hall is getting there too. DePaul is DePaul.
In my view, adding a Saint Louis (who will also be rebuilding over the next few seasons) and/or a Dayton (who has little history of playing deep in the NCAA tournament) only dilutes the conference. If one (or both) schools can prove in the next few seasons that they are truly committed to top basketball programs, then they will undoubtedly be invited - at some point.
But, that time is not now, and it won't be tomorrow either.

I think you're wrong about Creighton, but time will tell.
I didn't really understand all the Butler hype last year and I am very worried about them. They were in the Horizon League two years ago, and not necessarily dominating it either. Everything hinged on Brad Stevens and he left before they even played a game in the Big East. Could very easily be the bottom feeder for years to come.
Although everyone seems down on the BE this year, any 10 team league where Georgetown finishes 7th can't be all bad... I agree we wait on expansion. Let's see what we have over the next couple of years.
