So, the guy is rightly derided for being Buzz's mouthpiece, but he's sticking up for MU on Twitter right now.
Of course, the questions are kind of ridiculous.
Jeff Goodman @GoodmanESPN 5m
Marquette. Not even close. RT @williewatston: @GoodmanESPN better job: BC or Marquette?
Jeff Goodman @GoodmanESPN 3m
Better and can pay a lot more. RT @jkraemer10: @GoodmanESPN is Marquette better job than Dayton? what would be reason for Archie to go?
Jeff Goodman @GoodmanESPN 1m
Marquette. RT @MH_19067: @GoodmanESPN Better job: Marquette or Virginia Tech?
Good to see -- I dont take being Buzz's mouthpiece as a negative though.....don't all coaches talk to someone?
I said this in another thread, despite being tight with Buzz, he has other contacts at MU apparently, and understands that MU spends tons of money on the program and has shown it will over a sustained period. That goes a lot further than other idiots are giving credit for.
Some Scout writer called Mrquette the best job in the Big East. I'm sensing the national media is catching on to the "don't let the door hit you" narrative.
Jeff Goodman @GoodmanESPN 10m
Marquette. RT @hunter_yancey12: @GoodmanESPN best head coaching vacancy in the country right now?
That's cool play from Goodman.
He probably knows the true story on why buzz left.

No doubt. Goodman has been managing "relationships" a lot longer than Brent has. I'm sure he realizes the bridge to MU is a lot longer and sturdier than the bridge to Brent Williams.
Ya' got worked, Brent. Ya' got worked, son!

The "national media" couldn't find Marquette on a map.

Brent Williams isn't the only one with maniacal attention to detail! ;D

One interesting note to me: immediately after Buzz walking, Goodman trumpeted Mike Hopkins as an option. To my knowledge, Goodman remains the only media member saying Hopkins is a legitimate candidate. In fact, on this board, Hopkins is mentioned only in passing and not considered realistic yet people yesterday allowed themselves to believe Shaka Smart was a realistic candidate. Odd.
