Everyone will see what they want out of the scenario, but it should be acknowledged given our potential hire of Howland...just another bit of info.
Alford has had them playing very good and competitive ball. They've been a fun team to watch.
I got em coming out of that region to the FF
Pac 12 is doing really well this year. The only conference I root against is the ACC. On another note the street I live on is Tar Heels Road. I live in Jersey so go figure.
Don't crown them yet. Wins over 13 and 12 seeds.

Addition by subtraction...the cancer...Shabazz is not on the team.
MU went to the Final Four without a certain individual who decided to transfer to UNLV.
Besides, its a crapshoot anyway. Adams broke his foot last year at the end, this year he is healthy....why are you ignoring those things?
It is what it is.
UCLA has jumped about 30 spots in Ken Pom's ratings this year.
Alford has just gotten UCLA to a place Howland couldn't his last 5 years there and many fans have reported a difference in play.
Look at it in any light you wish.
What's their RPI?

I guess if it makes you feel better to compare one year to the next year, with injuries not included, competition not the same, etc....by all means.
One could also say that last year Howland took this team to a Pac 12 regular season championship...Alford did not. That's based on the entire season of work, not two random games in the NCAA tournament which is always a crapshoot. But again, pick and choose how you wish. Alford went further than Coach K. this year...I'll bet the world is saying Alford is a better coach than K.
Your raging thirst to be adversarial is always amusing.
Plus, Looney joins up next season, hey?

Thirst, no....I just never understand why intelligent people (which you clearly are), want to ignore facts, like broken ankles, or a-holes on the team, or regular season championships. Its not adversarial at all, merely filling in the void of facts with...well, facts. ;)

And as far as slow and boring, they were #30 in adjusted tempo last year (we were #239). Along with the Seth Davis interview where Howland promised he would be running more at his next job, it's a bit unfair to claim he plays boring and is set in his ways.
