This is one of those "no wrong answer" kinds of questions.
Does Marshall tell his kids in the locker room that he is coming to MU?
Howland. He's got bonafides.
The fact that getting one of the three is not just a possibility but a probability is exciting in and of itself.
Man I'm torn between Shaka and Howland. Marshall after those 2, but he's close too. Really can't go wrong with any of these.
If there is mutual interest between all three, has MU ever been in this position before when hiring a new coach?
I'll slurp for any of the three. I might chug a little if it's Howland.

Just out of curiosity, how do we really factually know this is a probability?
As an example, let's say we are holding out for Smart/Marshall, so Wake takes Howland, Smart stays put and Marshall waits also. Then where is that probability?

Somewhere between zero and one hundred percent.

I haven't been around since Al but I doubt it. I also doubt you will get serious interest from all three. I think two of them (howland and Marshall) will/do have legitimate interest and that is fantastic.

anything is possible but we are the most attractive open job. I believe if we move fast we can have any coach looking to move.

Somewhere between zero and one hundred percent.
Then it is highly probable that we may not get any of them, but Howland seems like the most likely. Howland or Smart would be great.
Why is Brad Stevens name on the list? I don't think there would be any chance he would leave Boston after not even one year completed.
Howland > Smart > Marshall.
Impressive list after the guys being discussed. High interest from many HC and top assistant coaches.

Assuming he is interested he has not yet interviewed or been offer the job, so he is not going to make that kind of statement.

What makes you think they're interested? Can't imagine Skaka turning away UCLA and then choosing MU.

Why not? UCLA is the better historic program, but that kind of pressure cooker isn't for everyone.
1. Marshall
2. Smart
3. Howland
Honestly, I'd be happy with any one of those 3.
SF ROCKS--Brad Stevens was brought up yesterday. Just put him in for opinions
1. Howland
2. Howland
3. Howland
Jajuannaman -- Isn't it time to change your avatar? I think we've all seen enough of Buzz at this point.
would sure be a kick in the azzzz if Cords steps up to the mic and reads the name of the coaching equivalent of Tony Mandarich-
"with the most important pick of this years coaching draft, Marquette University Golden Eagles select....."

Put a black bar over his eyes
I'm wondering if we'll pay the next guy 2.8 mil per like Buzz. That's enough attract all of those guys.

Would be better if he said "The MU Warriors select..."
What about Phil Jackson... I heard he wants to start coaching again.

AMEN!!
Hey Willie Warrior-- You got it---- WARRIORS! As I said before get rid of that freakin' Golden Eagle name.
WARRIORS!
Warriors, always.
Roy Williams to MU
Howland is my first choice. Then Shaka. Something tells me Marshall doesn't trade Wichita for Milwaukee.
