It seems to me that the response on Scoop to this news is actually rather muted, particularly when you consider the prior blow-up on the board re: the SMU scare (110 pages?). I know my first thought when I heard this was that if it had happened a year ago I would have been really bummed. I guess the conclusion is that a lot of the bloom came off the rose this year.
That, and there have been about 250 different threads about the same topic which fractured the discussion. But there have been some idiotic things posted the past 24 hours that I am sure are no where near the truth.
The coming weeks are certainly vital for MU - but I have confidence they'll find the right coach, and there will not be any blowing player departures. We shall see, but it obviously is what it is.

For me personally, once Pilarz and LW were shown the door, that gave me 100% confidence that we were not going to be SLU or Loyola. The BOT and big donors have shown that they are willing to pull out all stops for basketball. That gave me a
huge sense of confidence. So much so that it made me, and perhaps others, truly truly believe that we are in fact bigger than any one person, eg, Coach Buzz Williams.
Big difference is Buzz crapped the bed this season.
I think he lost some shine this season and that's made a difference, but for me it's all the rumors and circumstance coming to light that has lead to me being unsure how detrimental losing Buzz really is
