Huh. Did NOT know this about D James.

You mean D. Wright.
The artist formerly known as Dominic James.
Shark Tank. Cuban would eat that up especially with Crowder there. No doubt he would get 250k for 30 percent.

awwwww
So when his jersey is retired, will it have James or Wright on it? 8-)
Did he actually graduate as the article says? Not insinuating anything especially whether his jersey should be retired only if he did) just curious. I don't remember seeing him with the graduation garb and Buzz or Crean taking credit. Given demands of bball I would think it would tough to do so in 4 years, especially since he went overseas right away.

IIRC, all four in that class (Burke, James, Matthews, McNeal) managed to graduate.
MU and wherever TC is next year should let him license the logo for free and sell them in the bookstore.

God help us. We haven't had a jersey retiree worthy player since Wade. I actually think Diener is a borderline candidate, but you better run TS and Mac up the flag pole with # 34. And what about #54? I defer to the older posters.
DJO was a better #1 and it's not close.

Can we all at least agree that is the worst commercial since, "I've fallen and I can't get up!"
My daughter thought the product was cool, but that commercial. The "dad" looks like he is 5 years younger than the grandpa.
The guy is starting a business, he has a commercial hawking it. He might be on shark tank promoting it (wonder if Lemonis is helping on this front). He lives in Italy and has a hot wife. How many 26 year grads of MU would trade places with him? How about all of them?
Good for him. I look to forward James/Wright takes his private plane from Italy to Milwaukee to hang his number in the rafters.
Quit acting like a bunch of old fat white guys incapable of thinking outside the box.

Yep, they walked with me during College of Comms ceremony
MU should send out these to every student that gets accepted to the University

He's living in Georgia.
I guess I don't understand the little jabs either. Here we have a guy that was a great player and representative for MU and is now using his degree and the skills he learned in college to become a businessman. He has a unique idea that obviously took some commitment and dedication. Isn't that a great Marquette story?
Dominick needs to send a Palloon to Bo Ryan and the badger team after they lose to oregon on saturday.

That couple has no business making babies! lol
Actually a really good idea.
If the self-righteous on here think MU fans were sore losers during this turd of a campaign they would die of shock from the treatment DJ got from his fanbase.
Best of luck to DJ.

Wes was a marketing major, no? What was he doing walking around at the CofC ceremony?
I guess its better than bagging groceries...

Advertising major. Not marketing
He has to be more successful than the former Duke player and creampuffs mentioned in the Deadspin article.

I'm with you here. The guy took a risk by leaving the game to be an entrepreneur. Should be applauded.

Let's do the math. He was paid to play basketball which provided him with the seed capital to start his own business based on patented IP. He is married to an intelligent, attractive former college athlete turned fashion model who will care for him and about him. He works out of his home rather than infesting a cube farm with thousands of other ants. Along the way he repaired the fracture between himself and his father.
So, how is this guy f ucking up?

The guy should be an example/inspiration for every MU player, not poked fun at like some Luddites earlier in this thread.

I'd say he's doing it Wright.
