If that game were to happen. Who would you take and why?
I think I give the edge to Creighton because they have McDermott and I am not sure who the badgers put on him. I think Wragge and Kaminsky is a good match-up. McDermott also benefits from a lot of calls and I dont think that changes in the tournament.
talking to a few badger fans they think they would face guard Wragge and guard McBuckets with...
I think that is part of the problem. You face guard Wragge and there is no help on McDermott. Especially the way Creighton spreads the floor. And you can bet that Bo will not go to a zone ala Providence. Not a big fan of either team so no real bias here, but I would take Creighton by about 6 or 8. UW fans claim Creigton plays no d, but from what I can tell they are about the same as each other on the defensive end.
Which team hits the shots? Bucky's pack-the-line, no-double-team-of-the-post, always-playing-under-the-pick defense gets shredded if Creighton hits their normal percentage. But, if Bucky gets hot, they can win.
Creighton wont get past Baylor.
Wisconsin can win with a poor shooting game. Creighton cannot win with a poor shooting game. Creighton might be the toughest team to project in their bracket. Shoot well for four straight games and they have a decent chance to get to final four. Shoot bad in first game and they are going home or any other game. Better offensive team than Iowa, but not any better on defense.
I will predict that if those two play there will be more flopping than on an Asian Carp fishing trip.

+10000
I really like Creighton's draw.
Whoever said Baylor will be CU...really? Baylor plays a lazy zone. CU will eat that alive.
I know Wisconsin is a better scoring and pace team this year than its years past, but I don't think they can keep up with CU scoring-wise. Wisco is an average defensive team which means CU could easily put up 80+...will be tough to Wisco to compete with that.
I like CU has a good chance at the final 4 is they're making their shots. Same thing if they run into Arizona. That team is loaded with big men, but that creates a matchup problem against CU because they can't guard beyond the perimeter.

This is what I see as well. It appears teams are getting to the rim with much more ease than they ever have against Wisconsin. I think that makes Creighton extremely tough for them.

WELL DONE BRAVO!!!
I'd give the edge to Wisconsin, but Creighton is capable of beating anyone if they are hitting shots.
Instead of an opening tip, Gasser and Dougie will have a shocked :o facial expression contest to determine possession.
I've got Creighton in my national championship game losing to Michigan State.

Youre nuts.
Every time I look at my brackets, I keep seeing Wisconsin in the Elite 8 and with what I have seen of Arizona this year, they are more than beatable. I'm hoping Oregon can knock them off, but the Badgers got a really nice draw IMO....at least to the Elite 8. I don't think Creighton beats them.

I've got San Diego state winning that region. I think Creighton shoots the lights out until they meet SDSU. SDSU clamps down and advances. Arizona is vulnerable, too short of a bench. I have them going down to Oklahoma State.

I've seen SDSU so much out here on the coast, I'm less than impressed. They could get through, but I don't like them much.....that will probably mean they go to the Final Four as soon as I say that

No chance SDSU wins that region.
I think Oklahoma probably beats them even.

I keep trying to talk myself out of SDSU as well, but when picking these games, I can't stop myself from writing their name down. I don't feel great about it, but I have them there. I just like them in the matchups.
Xavier could not even win a play in game. There will no Big East teams in the sweet 16.
I have both Nova and Creighton in my Sweet 16.

I really hope you are right, but I am affraid that this is going to prove we were a bad team in an overrated conference.
Creighton and Wisconsin played last season in a Thanksgiving tourney in Las Vegas. Creighton won that one 84-74.
I realize they're different teams this season but McDermott scored 30 with only one 3-pointer. Wragge came off the bench for 17 points in 19 minutes. Berggren led the Badgers with 27.
I could see this year being more of the same.

I agree with this, especially this year. A team that can get to the basket like Creighton can, is big trouble for UW.

Personally don't see Wisconsin getting past Oregon but I would like our chances against UW. Berggren torched us in LV but Gasser wasn't there. Kaminsky might torch us now but he seems to shoot too many threes for his size from the limited amount of games I've watched. We also have enough to limit Gasser.
Between the Badgers and Creighton. Two very similar style teams. The way I look at it, if MU had one more chance to get back into the tournament but had to play one of these two teams. I would absolutely want to play UW, because I think we would beat them on a neutral site.
I don't think we could beat Creighton at home.
Creighton by double digits over UW if they got a chance to play each other.

Since when has Creighton been a team that "gets to the basket?"

Ummmm...since they have that guy wearing number 3. People seem to think they just jack a bunch of 3s. Nt the case at all. They certainly shoot a lot, but they (particularly McDermott) can get the ball to the basket, and get to the FT line as well as anyone.

Who cares. We are not in the tournament or the NIT we were a bad team this year, do you really need confirmation via teams we played? Just cause Georgetown won a game in the NIT and we beat them twice, does not mean that we also win a game in the NIT

SDSU in OT right now. They might pull this out, but I haven't been overly impressed with them this year. They're good, just not that good, but you are right the matchups could serve to their advantage. They strike me as a team when they get knocked out (assuming they find a way to save this game), they will go out big.
