Philadelphia plans to sign Darius Johnson-Odom to a 10-day contract, sources tell Yahoo. He's been playing for Springfield in D-League.
Awesome news!
Congrats to DJO!
That's great news. Hope he sees some action.
Good luck, DJO!
Is that great news? Is it great to be coveted by a team whose sole goal down the stretch is to lose as many games as possible?

That's a myth.
After taxes and agent fee, he will realize about $12,000 to go to Philly for 10 days. Is that enough?
Awesome. Now I have a purpose to watch my favorite NBA team for 10 days.
That's more than I'll be bringing home in the next 10 days. And I'm SUBSTANTIALLY older than DJO.
Way to go DJO! Awesome news!

Not disagreeing, but how do you figure?
Congrats DJO!! Hope he gets some run.

Not perfect math but:
$425,000 min salary
/ 180 days
* 10 days
* 55%
A couple errors in that math....
first...NBA players are only paid for games played....which is 82.
So $425,000/82 = $5182.92 per game
Looks like the sixer's are playing in 6 games over the next 10 days.
so that is about $30,000...taxed at his DJ's income tax level...not at the minimum NBA salary level.
Good luck to DJO. Man, he should be able to make that "team".

That's great news. Hope he gets a bucket on this trip to the league!
Congrats to DJO - An all-time likable Warrior...think he can stick if he gets some run...
Was hoping he would stick on Lakers. Know Rambis is a big fan. Good luck DJO!
Always liked DJO,played his heart out and hustled all the time.
Out of curiosity, when players sign these 10-day contracts where do they live. Will the team put them up somewhere temporarily or is it completely on them to arrange housing.
Awesome news. DJO was possibly my favorite player to watch during my years in Milwaukee
Congrats to DJO, and good luck getting his baptism against the Pacers!

0-5 and 0-2 FTs. Are we sure we're talking about DJO and not a certain current MU guard?

Yup--DW to the NBA.
5 minutes. 0 pts, 0-2 fg, 1 TO, 1 foul in a loss to a JFB-led Bulls.
JFB dropped 17pts, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 steal. Nice.
Does DJO have a bucket in the league yet?

This says no, but I could have sworn he had one with the Lakers.

I don't think so
DJO's 10 day contract didn't get renewed by the Sixers. Has he landed anywhere else yet? I don't see him back in the D-league.
