Definitely want to avoid Creighton. Gotta beat the Johnnies tomorrow.

This is fine. We can let Gtown beat Creighton and then beat Gtown.
Is we beat STJ and Prov loses to Nova, we are guaranteed the five seed, no? If we lose to STJ, we are guaranteed to the 6 seed, correrct?

We are the 5 with a win and 6 with a loss. Providence game only determines opponent.

Too lazy to figure this out myself, but if Prov loses to Nova, and we beat STJ, who is the four seed? Prov or X?

Since Prov and Nova split their two games, and Prov and X both beat Creighton once, but both lost to Nova twice. It must go to the next tie-breaker, which is..

If providence loses they are the 4. Xavier has the tiebreaker

Thanks for the link.
It's simple: Beat SJU, we play Providence/Nova. Lose to SJU, we play Xavier/Creighton
Providence will lose to Creighton in Omaha over the weekend.

Providence/Seton Hall**** :)
Interesting that Gtown can move into 6th/bye and St Johns can drop to 7th with...
MU beats Johnnies.
Gtown upsets Nova.
Gtown and Johnnies would both be 9-9... tiebreaker is Gtown's record vs Xavier (1-1) being better than St Johns vs Xavier (0-2).
Assuming STJ beats DePaul, the sets up an rematch of St Johns big win at MSG vs Creighton in the quarterfinals. This would be a hot ticket, prime time game, and very good for the league. If Johns pull the upset over Creighton again, they'd have added 2 more W's (DePaul/Creighton) and probably get in the dance even with a loss to Gtown/Prov/X in the semis.
In other words, this would be an ideal result for the league.
Johnnies won't lack for motivation in this one. We'll need to play a pretty flawless game. I'd want it no other way--nothing like a stiff test before heading into the conference tourney.
OK...so beat Xavier and then we may very well play Gtown in the second game to get to the Championship. If it's Creighton, we'll have our hands full, but anything can happen at the Garden in March. I'll start looking forward when this season is in the books. The fact of the matter is, we could have won our last two games with leads late in each game. It was just a string of unfortunate events. Good fortune will return at some point, let's hope it's this week in NY. Go MU.
This is officially how the bracket will play out correct?
