Title: Butler Embarrassing DePaul
Post by: GoldenWarrior11 on March 06, 2014, 09:28:36 PM
Butler is currently up 53-20 over DePaul.  Hamilton has been ejected for a flagrant foul across Marshall's neck (looked like he was trying to injure him).  DePaul also gave up 5 points in one second to end the half.  Butler is on 20-2 run to start 2nd half.  They can't be more than 1,200 people there tonight.

DePaul DESPERATELY needs new leadership and direction, for their own sake and the Big East's.

Depaul's regular season is done (finished 3 - 15 in BE).  All that remains is traveling to NYC to lose Wednesday to Seton Hall.

May God have mercy on their soul.

10 years ago, DePaul went to the NCAA tourney. 7 years ago they won 20 games. They fell hard. I hope they can get it back together soon, but their AD just said that Purnell will remain the head coach next season.

Perhaps more importantly, has the President said the AD will remain there next season?

Since our inclusion in the BE, DePaul has won a total of 30 BE games over 9 years.

For comparison, if we win tomorrow we will have won as many BE games (10) this year as DePaul has won over the last 6 years (10).

We have 100 wins in conference to date in the BE.

Happy when we beat DP but as a fan of Ray Meyer and the DP teams of the late '70's, this is just depressing.
