Title: If Homer and Buzz have a show tonight.....
Post by: tower912 on March 05, 2014, 12:17:23 PM
1.   Will Buzz be able to talk?
2.   What are your fondest memories of this senior class?
3.   What are your frustrations with this senior class?
4.   Explain what you mean by "playing to the scouting report."
5.   You have mentioned that your family is rougher on you than the message boards.   Can you give us some quotes?

Why didn't you use your timeouts to set up a last minute shot?

Will you change your minute distribution come BE tourney time?

Are we the best team in the country at making 3/4 court shots after the clock has expired?

In retrospect, was this the Big East you envisioned?
What has surprised you about the BE this season?

Will you surprise us with some new line-up adjustments against St. Johns?

Listened to the post game pod cast from last night. Buzz's voice was just about gone. Homer threw him about 3 softball questions and then ended with I don't know what more to say. Guess that is why he is called Homer.

Buzz, you have worked with Chris O'Tule for 6 years, have you worked on any moves around the basket other than a dunk or one footer?  In saying that, your son probably can shot free throws better than Derrick, I would be happy to teach him as I was 80% free throw shooter in high school, or have him watch Kyle Macy video, bend the legs and arch the ball?  Advise us the fans how you art trying to help him in, individual practices?

Do you and the assistants collectively decide who plays and when, or are personnel decisions/rotational decisions strictly made by you?

Has there been discussion between you and the staff about decreasing Derrick and Jakes minutes and increasing the minutes of guys like Burton and Dawson? If you were to read the board you would see that a large number of us are baffled by the high number of minutes for our backcourt given it's lack of production.  We love you Buzz, but if I'm being honest I don't understand why they get so minutes.

Have you ever considered running plays for Jake throughout the game?  seems like you think of him in the last 10 minutes f games.

Has Derrick tried shooting free throws granny style?  Most grandmas can probably make them at a higher clip after all.

Will Derrick still be the starting point guard next year or will you have a legitimate open competition?

Since you've so clearly made your mind up that there wasn't open competition this year, what makes you think Buzz would change next year?

Buzz called last night's game the most heartbreaking of the season and the most numbing of his tenure at MU.

Do you think that the "Greybeards" who donate to the university should have a say in who gets playing time?

If I was your slave for 5 years would you play Duane, Dawson, Todd, Flood, the mascot, Jump around guy or anyone not name Derrick Wilson at PG next year?

Seriously, I would do ANYTHING. Think about it.

Kyle Macy!

Look up his stats, about 88% free throw accuracy in college and the pros, yea, a great free throw shooter.

Great form, 88% is not good enough for you, career stats, impressive.  Bends the knees, elbow in,  shot flows, no wasted motion, very repeatable.  I can coach any kid to shot it that way, even Derrick Wilson, you throws it, does not shoot it.  As bad as Derrick is, he could shot it under hand like Rick Berry, if you do not like Macys form, he was about 90%.
