1. Villanova is good. There is a reason they are in the top 10 and moving up. Size, depth, aggressive defense, moves the ball and shoots the 3 like MU's 09-10 team.
2. Jamilio, Jamilio, wherefore art thou, Jamilio?
3. This team goes as far as Jamil, Todd, and Davante takes it.
4. Deonte brought it today. Still a little bit like that little girl with the little curl in the middle of her forehead. Today, he was very good.
5. It pains me to see MU outhustled. Villanova played harder today.
6. I miss the Juan Anderson who could hit the broad side of a barn.
7. It wasn't the deciding factor, but that TO/non-TO/technical at the end of the first half was an early dagger. That defensive possession was the last bit of momentum MU showed for the day.
8. Freshmen with more points than the seniors. Sometimes, stats do tell the story.
9. Shake it off, win the last two, make noise in the BEast tourney.
10. The standings are correct. Creighton and Villanova are the best two teams in the conference. Everything else is a toss up.
Stats almost always tell the story when used in a predictive nature. When used as a measure of reflection is when they often lie.

Better win the Big East Tourney. Winning the next two and getting to the Big East Final gives us a slight puncher's chance, but not one that I'd put money on.
Well, when the team shoots 4 for 15 from three and gives up 12 threes.
When your senior Jamil has one basket.
Shoot 16 for 25 from free throws, with two frontend misses.
Starting backcourt shoots 3 for 14.
Juan, Dwil, Otule and Taylor playing together.
VU plays 16 minutes of first half with two stars on the bench and don't take advantage.
And your best player, Gardner only plays 20 minutes, recipe for a loss.
Jay Bee says Nova is overrated ;)
Jwill reminds of those little league baseball kids who hit puberty when they are 11 and just slug the hell out of the ball. Jwill seems to have developed early, than that same little kid who couldnt make the all-star 11 year old team catches up to him in HS and ends up outplaying him.
Tower - Spot on as usual.
Villanova is very, very good.
And well coached.
And tough.
And they can shoot.
I think I know who I'm supporting in the tournament (if MU doesn't make it of course). Too much not to like about Mcduggie and the wunderboys... well done Villanova!
Two years ago Nova was an under .500 team and people here were wondering how long Wright would be around.
Teams have off years. We should remember that.

You hit it out of the park with these comments.
Hard to compete when we continually get outscored by 20 plus points from 3 point land. When Jake is hitting his 3s, we look so much better. If next year's team can't consistently hit 7 plus 3s a game next year, we will continue to have to climb a huge hole.
Jamil is the most frustrating player. My high expectations for this team heading into this season was that Jamil was going to take it to the next level and be a 16 point a night scorer from all over the court. When he disappears, we usually lose.
Free throws. For a team that can't afford to give away points, we sure give a lot away on the free throw line.
I will also add Mayo to the list for this game. Way too out of control with just some beyond silly turnovers. Its a game like this where you see why Buzz has been struggling with juggling playing time. Whatever points Mayo scored, he gave away with silly turnovers.
in defense of Todd, at least he is trying to generate some offense beyond passing around the perimeter.

And yes, +1,000,000
niv, I don't know. I just don't think you were as effective making your point with Derrick Wilson. If you had endlessly repeated John Dawson, by definition everything would have been better. ::)

I could/should have just repeated "Derrick Wilson", then "John Dawson" and then "Jake Thomas" over and over for three pages of text. It would then look like what every post eventually becomes.
