Not just bruised. That would hurt, but could be no big deal. A partial dislocation against Depaul that required a trip to the hospital after the game. That's pretty ridiculous

Forgot about that fall during the DePaul game. What a gamer!

Wow, if I had to give stud of the season right now Jake would definitely be right up there... I can't even count how many games we've been playing like crap and he has single handedly kept us in the game with a few threes... even if we didn't win them all.

3-4 made threes a game from Jake is definitely a boost we need as we finish the season and go into tournament play (NIT or NCAA, whichever it is).

Nights like this are what I was picturing when he transferred here. Sharp shooter, but still gets after it defensively and on the boards a little bit too. Finally realizing his potential, keep it up!!

I meant 3 to 4 total made 3s (not 3 of 4). Of course if he wants to make more than that like he did tonight, go right a ahead!

I mean we don't want to set the expectations too high just yet, right?  ;)

OK sorry did not follow. But I've noticed he is shooting more and looks more confident.

He had three three's against DePaul before he fell opn his shoulder and did not score after that. That was one of the reasons the DePaul game ended up being so close.

Jake has taken so much unnecessary crap this year.  You're right about him keeping us in quite a few games.  If others would have stepped up in some of those eventual losses we would be in a different position right now.  This year without Jake's shooting would be significantly worse imo.

Hes grown on me thats forsure. Proving the haters (myself included just not publicly) wrong one game at a time. My dad called me after the game just to remind me of Jakes performance.

The should have injured him a long time ago.  He shot the ball great.

Yes, particularly from me.  It was great to see him hit open shots tonight.  GT is either stupid or didn't respect his ability to knock down open 3's and he made them pay.  That "T" on him was a bad call, but the subsequent "T" on GT was worse.  Oddly officiated game that seemed to never end.

Anyone who did hasn't seen him play. And by his minutes this season, Buzz never questioned it.

If he had sat out, I wonder how posts like; "Well, we lost, but at least Buzz came to his senses about Jake" there would have been.

If Jake had shot like this last year or earlier this year, people would have given him a lot more leeway.  I understood the criticisms cause he struggles create his own shot, but when he's confident, he is a really valuable weapon.  As long as he stays within himself, which he sometimes strays away from when he's hot, he deserves his minutes.

One of Lincoln's better quotes was in response to s lady complaining about Gen. Grant's fondness for whiskey: "Tell me what brand he drinks and I'll send a case to all my other Generals."
