We're in it!....but we're not.
The selection dynamic in the Big East is not dissimilar from the SEC: Two teams safely locked away, gazing out from the castle tower as a handful of teams desperately try to scale the walls below. The Big East has more in play than the SEC at this point, and thus more likely inclusions. Could Marquette join them? Not likely. The Golden Eagles might be able to overcome their complete lack of quality wins were their computer numbers not so ugly, but they are (the numbers). Marquette fans have been asking the Watch for some sort of closer examination lately. We acquiesced, and yeah, no.

Just win and it'll all take care of itself. Still think 3-1 puts them right there. I also think MU is in better shape than a handful of teams in Brennan's list. Just win.
The beauty of college hoops is that every team controls its own fate. Go 0-4 then 3-0...and we're still in.
But we did show up in Sports Illustrated's on apparent life support:
Marquette (16-11, RPI: 70, SOS: 62) -- The Golden Eagles are just barely in the mix for an at-large bid, and their final shred of hope could vanish this week with games against Georgetown and Villanova. If they lose both, they probably won't be in the Bubble Watch heading into the Big East tournament.

None of these watches really matter, of course. Win 3 of 4 and then see where we stand going into BET.
Eamon is just an idiot.
The fact that we are not even on it when we still play 3 of the teams on his watch...2 of which we already beat.
And he acts like our numbers(which he calls bad and are bad) are way worse than any of theirs.
We are where lunardi and most have us.
Win 3/4 and it's game time.
