Whatever we gotta do to avoid SJU in that first game. Really hoping we work our way up to 3rd because when all is said and done I think they finish 4th or 5th.
We are 8 - 6 along with X. What are the tiebreaker rules?

Record vs. best team. If same, then compare to next best team, etc.
I don't care as long as we are in the opposite side of the bracket from Creighton. Best chance we have is for someone else to knock them out. Much rather play St Johns and Villanova than Creighton.
I am hoping for 3rd place for obvious reasons, but it would also be nice to miss the Thursday day games.
Ideal bracket for me 1-8 would be
1. Creighton
8- Seton Hall
4- SJU
5- Xavier
2. Nova
7. Georgetown
3- MU
6- providence
I think MU matches up better w Nova than Creighton. Seton Hall or SJU could beat Creighton while Georgetown could beat Nova.

Agreed on everything but would switch Xavier and Providence. If we get 3rd in the BEast, it probably means we sweep Providence. I don't know why, but beating a team three times in a season never seems to go well for us. I would rather get Xavier who we split with.
Chances are we will need at least 2 wins. To win 2 we'll have to beat either Creighton or Villanova (most likely). There's no easy way to 2 (or more) wins.

Only thing about that is X has a clear edge on us with their length on the boards. Both games have been shootouts so it's sketchy.
With providence they lack depth so anytime you can get them in foul trouble you got a chance.

Great point. Our defensive rebounding has been abolustely horrid lately--at least, it's not passing the eye test. I'm shocked that I still have hair after that DePaul game given the performance on the glass.

You and Windy make a good point. Our rebounding has been down as of late. If we don't right that, X would destroy us.

Creighton will just shoot us out of the gym. We can't defend their shooters and can't outshoot them either.

That's why them being 1 and us being 3 would be great for us. Wouldn't see them til the championship
