Poll
Question:
How do we finish Final 4?
Option 1: 4-0 (Wow...in the Dance)
votes: 10
Option 2: 3-1 (Bubble?)
votes: 37
Option 3: 2-2 (NIT)
votes: 39
Option 4: 1-3 (NIT scum)
votes: 11
Option 5: 0-4 (Next Year)
votes: 3
We've had polls at 8, 6 and now 4 to go
8 to go .... 5-3 was the sensible answer on Bell curve voting.
2 wins later and riding high, 6 to go .... 4-2/5-1 dominated the voting. A real step up.
Reality check 2 games later ... Creighton thump and DePaul sqeaker .... what do we feel now?
4 to go ... what do you think?
Last Four are:
Gtown
@ Nova
@ Prov
SJU
3 - 1 and here's how I get there
Feb 27 vs GTWN W
Mar 2 @ #9 VILL L
Mar 4 @ PROV W (the shakiest call)
Mar 8 vs SJU W
That means we finish 19-12 (11 - 7)
I'm still saying 3-1(4-2) which I think gets us IN.
Until we are out of it. I think we got it.
Beat Gtown.
Give it our all and see wtf happens vs Nova.
Then on to the next two(also very hard but winnable if we bring it).
I voted 2-2, but I am not sure that means we play in NIT. We play Georgetown, Providence, Villanova and St John's. Villanova is solidly in NCAA tournament and the other three are fighting for it. Of course going 2-2 would mean we would have to win a first round Big East tournament game, but right now I am thinking 10-8 puts us no worse than 5th in conference. It is hard to say how many Big East teams are going to get picked, but two quality wins plus one quality win in Big East tournament gives us as much of a chance as Xavier, St. John's Providence or Goergetown on selection Sunday.

Agree
St. Johns game is going to be hard even at home. I voted 3-1 as a loyal fan, but we're going to really have to play well. Not even sure 3-1 gets us in the dance. Beat Nova and we have a much better shot.
I've got 3-1, the loss being at Nova. But SJU at home is the toughest call for me. I think we are a really bad matchup for Providence.
3-1 puts us at a RPI of 56
2-2 at 67

The unknown in the RPI at this point is that you cannot realistically predict what the other teams currently 55-65 will do in their last few games.

Well, I would disagree. They are predicting basd on 90% of the season completed how they will finish those last few games. All of this is hypothetical, of course, but I would argue with 90% of the season done, the predictions are much more solid than a month ago and certainly 2 months ago.
2-2.
Losses to Nova and SJU.

Nope to SJU.
Jamil is going for 23 and 8
Ox 19 and 6
Jake 14 on 4-6 from 3
Chris 9 and 6
And Todd since he is older than half our seniors is going to think it is his senior day as well and go for 21 and 6(assists)
We win a laugher 97-53.
2-2 with losses to @Nova and @Providence
Anymore votes?
2-2, loses @ Nova and at home against St. John's.
I said 2-2, win vs Georgetown, loss at Villanova, and a split of the other two. Frankly, I think Villanova is a loss and the other three are toss-ups, so anywhere from 3-1 to 0-4 would not be surprising.
