Haven't seen this anywhere else. I guess I would take MU w/ the pts, but not very confidently.
Not enough points to take MU in this one.
Agree. I expected it to be Creighton -5 or -5.5... the good news with the current spread means that the betting public likes MU more than I thought they would. That's not typical.

The public knows how we do in late February/March.

MU is playing with their backs against the wall, in need of a signature win and playing at home. I like MU in this one and would take the three points.
When was the last time, MU was a home dog?

Villanova? I seem to remember Nova favored by 2, but I could be wrong.
Wish I would've seen this earlier. This would've been easy money. -3? We lost by like 18 to them at Creighton. This is as bad of a matchup as we can face. A team that can score. It doesn't matter how bad they are defensively, we don't score the basketball anyways. Gardner will never be effective against a team that plays this time of system. He'll either be busy giving up 30 trying to defend the perimeter or he'll be on the bench. If Gardner isn't going, we rarely go. Just way too easy of money there.
Great analysis on a game that is already over. I think that you have to bet on the game BEFORE it happens. Commenting on what has already happened???? Now that is good work.

Well I did text 2 of my friends yesterday afternoon and asked if we lost by more or less than 12. They both said less. I said more. So hey, thanks! Once again, that would've been easy money. An awful matchup. We could play them 10 more times and we would lose by double digits every time.

Once again--this is not Gardner's fault. When their defense is packed in because there is no respect for a PG who is not even defended dribbling at the FT line, how the hell can you put this on Gardner? And Gardner did not give up 30, he played pretty good D on the perimeter. There is no secret to defending us. Put a guy on Jake, leave Wilson to dribble it around, let Jamil jack up 3's and pack it in. We will need an effective PG next year. What Buzz keeps rolling out there is not going to get it done against the good teams.
Some people put their money where their mouth is, some people just talk about it after the fact, I guess.
Not a gambling man but if I were I would have stayed away from this game. I thought it was going to go to the wire. I think I'd take Creighton next time if we were getting 12.

Not saying the loss is on Gardner. Saying when a team pulls Gardner to the perimeter it does not bode well for us at all. Wragge had 12 points in the first 8 minutes of the game and Gardner didn't play a whole lot after that point. When Gardner is not scoring for us, we are not going to win. It is a horrible matchup for us all around.
