Option 2: Providence

Nova coming off loss Sunday at Creighton, short turnaround, playing at Providence tonight. Nova won by 30 over Providence in Philly 5 weeks ago. Providence needs game badly for NCAA consideration...
Better for us of course if Providence loses...
Think game will be closer than I'd think at first glance...
Should be a great game. I picked Nova, but would not be the least bit surprised if Providence pulls it out at home.
I hope for both Providence and SJU to lose tonight.
Who do we want to win this game? Prv win gives them better RPI and Us one too if we beat them 2x .
But... nova wins and it gives us a better BE seed potentially...but is that academic if we beat Prv again.
Also 3 seed in BET better than 4/5 but 4/5 no different.
Also, my highest priority is an ncaa bid not BE finish. Though they go closely together.
Cmon Nova. I dont know why but I have a feeling that MU rattles off another 3 in a row. Call me optimistic but I really feel like Jamil has finally figured it out, Todd is playing much better and Buzz has his rotations set. Survive and advance.
I'm torn on who I want to win, but ultimately I feel it's better for Providence to win. Provy is on a downward swing and this win would keep them up in the NCAA talk. I think longterm it's important for the league to get a lot of bids this year... for that to happen, ultimately we need Nova and Creighton to drop the occasional game to the 5 other potential tourney teams. This seems like a good spot.
Also, personally I don't see Provy stealing our bid... MU has to earn that on its own, which includes sweeping Providence.
Root for the league when your team is safely in, or definitely out. If MU is potentially fighting SJU and PC on the bubble, I want them to lose.
Forgot to add... with a Provy win, they'll jump from #62 to about #48 in RPI. MU is short on top 50 wins as it is.
Don't want SJU to lose to a bad Butler team. Need everyone's RPI's to keep getting stronger and that would be a bad loss for them (115 RPI ish?).
I'll root for Nova in the 2nd. Need our top teams to do well and get high seeds.
Two good games on FS1!
St John's big man Chris Obepka is out for the next "10-14 days"... selfishly, hope he's still out for MU game, but I doubt it. I wonder if that will derail their recent hot streak.

I think FS1 is doing a very good job of covering our league. One of the benefits of having so many teams with a potential shot at the tourney is each televised game becomes worth watching. Hopefully over the next few years the ratings will rise steadily as a result.
Double OT

FS1 will get help this summer, with many MLB games.
Cotton's 3 ties it with 16 seconds left in 2OT. Archie scores to go up 2 with 3.0 left.
Damn! Archidianonononono on the same play to end double OT as OT. This time he makes, and 1. Solid.
Wow. That was a finish.
Wow. Can't switch the big man onto Arci on that play.

Good call - same play - he got the layup earlier and missed it. Why not try it again?
Villanova point guard with a very clutch play.
