We are on a roll now. We won a road/stole a road game so it is time to keep that momentum going. Vanillanova will go down Saturday. Would love to see us pull a Creighton 3 rain express on Nova with about 20 3 pointers, including 2 each from Otule and OxBut that will not happen, so hope we win by 3.
This has nothing to do with the topic the thread's title, but the idea of CO hitting a three got me thinking, who is the most unlikely MU player you ever remember hitting a three?

It does feel like we've been shooting the ball much better lately from 3, especially when we have DJ in the game. Between Thomas, Jamil, Mayo and Dawson for the occasional open 3 I think we can be a pretty good from deep.

I remember Mike Kinsella going for 4-5 his senior year being pretty remarkable at the time.
I'd donate a $1,000 to the B&G Fund for Otule to jack a 3 in a normal possession.

Don't remember any of these guys hitting a 3, which would be unlikely: McCaskill; McIlvane; Abel Joseph; Barro. Anybody else remember them hitting from deep?
Yeah, Otule hitting a 3 would be very unlikely. Kinsella was very unlikely. Hell, us having somebody close to 7 feet in last 20 years or so was tough enough. Just think about having two at the same time. And next year we will.

Who is he and when?
A walk-on. Scored 18 points in 1995. don't remember him either.

I'd second that donation. Would be epic to witness Chris launching from distance, and Buzz's reaction.

Now that is really some trivia. Never remembered the guy. He must have been a stud to score 18 in a year.

Frozena vs. UNC
Kinsella was actually a decent shooter. ALWAYS nicked up or hurt... but he blew up versus Pittsburgh in our game day game.
I looked up to see if Chris Grimm attempted any 3's.... none. But in 04-05 he went 25% from the FT line (3 for 12).

The cat scratch in that pic of yours would likely resemble the damage from a lion's paw

We're one game removed from the Butler game where we went 0/13 from 3 in the second half...
Is this the official evil and must be destroyed thread?

Ha! Would that be the left or right hook shot? I'd vote for the left.

After being up for 36 hours to from camping out overnight for College Gameday I thought I was delusional when Kinsella drained a three. Then he did it again!

No! They're a jinx this year - with one or two exceptions, whenever someone makes one we lose. Whenever it doesn't get made, we win.

As long as it's close to the end and it's a blowout. If he chucks one in the middle of a competitive game, most of our heads would explode.

Would be funny if someone from the Development Office read this thread and told Buzz if the game is in hand at the end to have Otule launch one. Worth $2k for them!

also was an RA and I think was in ROTC for awhile too. Odd cat, but was a pretty cool guy.
One of my friends, piss drunk, took a leak on his desk when he was an RA in McCormick.

Ya but we didn't play that comment .
I think his point was solid. We have a few guys who can shoot it. Jamil for whatever reason is just having his worst season by far from 3...so far.
Jake becomes a way better shooter with guys like mayo and now Dawson out there. Better opportunities for him.

I laughed out loud thinking about Otule or Ousmane attempting a 3.

I remember as a kid thinking he looked REALLY old (I think he had balding/thinning hair) and he hit a corner 3 near the student section in a blowout one game, and my uncle and I went nuts.
Won't be able to watch the game this weekend, stuck at a staff retreat in middle of nowhere Texas. Good luck to the Warriors

Harbin was Army ROTC. I'm pretty sure of it.
