If someone lives in the eastern time zone that game did not end until almost 12:00am. I dont like the 8 CST start at all even when games are in the CST, I cant even imagine the games starting at 9:00PM. Apparently these networks have no clue that people work the next day.
Also while we are at it. Why have we played so many 8 oclock games this year?
I think it's great to be on in Primetime
That was a SLOW game. But I love the 8 pm starts

I like them too. I don't necessarily agree with moving the tip time back though. Must have been closer to 8:30 by the time that thing actually started last night.
The game ended at 11:45 EST. I am tired today, but I remember when MU was getting on TV twice a year. So I am willing to drink a couple of extra diet pops today.

It gives you more time to tell the kids to stay off your lawn? ;D ;D
Fox Sports did a great job and really focused on Marquette, so I am happy with the time. They will have to play some late games in the BET so it is good practice for the team.
stop pouting warrior
Gives you more time to drink
8:00 games are great. Put the kids down by 7:55, head downstairs and watch the game in real time. That's a rare treat for anyone with 3 small children.

Also have three small children, but live in EST. Had to DVR the game and watch it this morning before work. Not worth staying up til after midnight when you have a 5:30am wake up call every morning ;D

This seems like the start of one of those first world, pussification, whiney brat diatribes.
We have so many 8:00 games because we were favored to win the Big East and Fox would want to showcase their best team.

People on the east coast must go to bed really late, or start work much later than we do.
When they made the schedule, this game was predicted to be one the most important games in the conference. Turns out that the 6:00 Creighton-Nova game may have been instead.

We just suck it up ;) Went to bed at 12:30, was at work by 7:30.
My MU friends from around the country (Washington State, Kentucky, New York and Illinois) all group text each other during the game. Great way to "virtually" stay in touch. The late starts work out great for this...

Exactly. Sure I would prefer to get to bed a bit earlier, but I love that the house is quiet by the time the game starts. I usually record the 6 pm starts since I can't focus on them until later. I did notice that the crowd at the Verizon center was a bit sparse and people started clearing out early, probably due to the late start an impending blizzard.

It's illegal for any business operation to be active before 10.30 on a Monday-Friday. When the Northeast corridor banded together in 1982 and passed that legislation, it made watching sports an equal opportunity for the working man.
Guess im someone who is just complaining because I knew I would have to get up 30 minutes earlier than I usually do in order to clear snow. (For some reason my neighbors demand that my entire 200 feet of sidewalk frontage be cleared by the time I leave for work)
Welcome to adulthood in the upper Midwest.
I just dont get why they get so upset when I dont clear my snow until after I get home. Kenosha rules states that I have 24 hours till the snow ends to clear my property. The same people that complain to me, are the same neighbors who sidewalk I snowblow every time their is a major snow storm because they are too old to do it themselves.

when you're done, just write your name in yellow on their snow.
50% chance of less than one inch of snow overnight tonight. Going to be a hell of a line at the grocery store tonight.

I'd just put them on "ignore."
A late game means when I get home from our wonderful DC traffic adventure and then eat dinner, check the scores and only then realize this damn game is televised (as Butler was not)--I still have time to watch at least half a game. I started watching this gem at 10:30pm or so. Where has this team been all these weeks?
When MU came out for the OT they were focused and confident. They knew they had GTown on their heels and played accordingly. That team can beat anybody in the BE including Nova even without Creighton's 3pt rainstorm. Rebounding and FTs my view, won this superb team effort. Good to see STJr back to (almost?) 100 percent, too.

That is exactly right. Except when you yell "YES" on Mayo's shot or "TRAVEL, TRAVEL THATS A FRICKIN TRAVEL" on Starks non-call and your wife comes down and says if you wake one of those three small children I get to spend whatever it takes to get them back to bed.
