Buzz is in the JS today saying we have a run in us. Sounds like he hasn't given up yet. Hopefully that runs off on the kids.
A run in the pants...like diarrhea?
He's not wrong, the schedule has some opportunities in it, but very few scapling opportunities left. I have a sneaky feeling we beat Villanova at home and that gets everyone here excited....but I also have a sneaking feeling we drop one at Providence or Seton Hall or even DePaul.

And although I agree with you, I have a sneaking suspicion you'll absolutely love it if that exact scenario plays out.

I have to remember next time when I take a break, not to unignore people like I did. A mistake by me. Back you go...stupid comments such as yours are part of the reason I want to come by less often. Bye

Exactly--or a run to the toilet to deposit the next stinker of a game. How can one rely on anything Buzzo says, when he is on record as Derrick being a "game changer"?
He's probably right. Should they somehow find a way to win the next two for instance, the season suddenly looks very different.
That's 'cuz there's prune juice at the hotel breakfast buffet. Thankfully, he's not thinkin' 'bout a run in their nylons, hey?
The last several years we have done much better in the Big East than I thought we would based on our play in the non-con portion of the season. So for that reason, I hold out hope, but I am concerned because I can't see where the improvement is going to come from. Our regular rotation is old/experienced, so a significant spike in performance seems unlikely without radically reimagining our style. I would have thought that a reimagining, if it was going to happen, would have happened over the holiday break.

Without commenting on Jajuannaman specifically, I commend you for using your ignore feature, Chicos. If a Scooper drives you nuts, why put yourself through it?
I know my life on this site has improved since I put willie on ignore.
There won't be a run if Thomas keeps playing 39 minutes a game.

I'd imagine Buzz sees that fourth in the standings is up for grabs (and maybe even third when X starts to play decent opponents) so he's right in thinking a run could accomplish something.
Problem is, they need to run the table to feel safe during the selection process and that ish ain't happening.
What is Buzz supposed to say?
I mean I hope he is right but his statement doesn't make me feel any better about our chances tonight or against Nova.
I will be at the Nova game cheering like always....hope we win but at this point I don't expect it...

Wow. Getting less tolerant in 2014. I remember, back in the days, when you would debate a guy like this for hours. I admire your enlightenment.

I'll still debate folks, but when comments are made that I enjoy MU losing...well I'm not going to get in the mud with that hog.

So has mine as I do not have to look at his condescending comments about his MU degree and the rest of us who are not worthy without one. Life has indeed improved. And 82 will be back.

82 isn't the only one with Willie on ignore. Thanks for the reminder of what I've been missing.

Folks, I was as down as anyone after the Butler game and not because we lost but because of the state of the team at this point in the season HOWEVER, before the Butler game, everyone was saying that if we take 2 out of 3 in this stretch, we'd be in good shape. Fact is, if we win the last two of this 3-game stretch, we'll be in a much better posiiton than beating Butler and either Nova or G-town. So, I'll reach way back for some optimism, and say that MU has a puncher's chance to win the next two.
Now, let's get it done. No more excuses. Hit shots and let's FINISH.

I was one of those people.
If MU wins the next 2, honestly, they are in pretty good shape to make a big run. I know that it's hard to believe, but it's true.
With this said, their margin of error is basically gone, so a loss tonight, or to Nova, and they are pretty much done.

Four more losses and we are eliminated. Until then, play to win now.

Of course, we aren't eliminated until we're sent packing from the BET, regardless of how well we do over the next 6-7 weeks.
