That describes the entire season.

one of the largest choke jobs I can remember.
why did Buzz allow things to get away from what worked in half one?

incredible.

When we were ahead 40-28 we should have been ahead 50-28.  Butler had played so poorly to that point, missing open jump shots and lay-ups galore, that we should have had them put away.  We never should have been in a position to collapse.

This team consistently folds like a cheap suit. They need to find their toughness. They need to remember what Marquette historically stands for.

they do seem to really blow their chances to extend leads with dumb travels, lazy passes, stepping out of bounds, missing 2 ft shots....

glad I could not see that one. Must have been just brutal to watch. Did the ball ever enter the paint in the second
half? It did not sound like it on the radio, and 23 three point attempts from this team???????????????

The whole defense was in the lane the second half except for the guys guarding Jake and Mayo.  Hard to get inside when you can't stretch the D.

And that tape is going to be spread all around the league if it hasn't already

Hah .. I don't think there's a big mystery on how to beat MU this year.

OK, if Butler is not good where does that put us? I saw Marquette get destroyed by Creighton NYE. How about we are not good.

I was at the Creighton game too - with our current lineup, we are a middle of the pack team at best with a very limited ceiling.

Let's not exaggerate...it's behind Providence and tied with Seton Hall.   :-[   Friars currently drilling Creighton.

I said this a couple times in the non-conference games that once we got into conference play where scouting is much more important, that DW would not be guarded again.

I recall Pat Kennedy brought his DePaul Blue Demons to the BC in late '90's early 00's.  He had Bobby Simmons and a couple of other NBA draft picks.  MU with a bunch of also fans beat them by 10 or 12.  On paper DePaul was 15 points better.

I was struck by Kennedy's inability to get his superior talent to play hard and together.  Kind of reminds me of this MU team.  Not that they have talent off the charts, but they are certainly more talented than Butler on paper.  They just don't play well together.

It's painful to watch Marquette play this year.  They come out soft and play tired in the second half.  They make silly mistakes.  They shoot poorly and rarely fast break.  The team looks "broken."  You would expect that they would be playing better instead of worse as the season progresses.  Perhaps the biggest question is "what's the problem with Buzz?"  He looks lost and ineffective.
