I love the video in the link below. That game brings back warm memories and it is something to get us psyched up for the game on Saturday. While I wouldn't exactly call it a rivalry yet but last year's NCAA tourney game and the game in Maui help lay the foundations for one.
Enjoy the highlight video in the below link. :)

That Vander Blue guy sure would be helpful now. I was watching and saw that Derrick was on the floor for a fair amount of those highlights and MU was still able to score. Also, the defense on the final shot by Butler was superb.

Can't watch at work, but if I remember right... Buzz gave them a zone look out of the timeout, then dropped to man on the inbounds pass. A brilliant move that threw Butler off big time.
What a game/night. That Vander guy was pretty good, huh?
The guy announcing the highlights is awful
Awesome to watch again. What defense by Marquette - and great ball movement. Ah Vander my man, we miss ya! Have to get better without him
Let's Go Marquette!
This game holds a very special place in my heart. After the miracle against Davidson, my wife and I decided to drive down to Lexington to see this game. I found a relatively inexpensive room at an awesome bed and breakfast/horse farm 5 miles from Rupp Arena.
The trip was almost a disaster because, having never been to an NCAA game before, I mistakenly thought I could wait outside the arena after the first game in the session (Colo. St. v. Louisville) and get tickets off some fan that was not going to stick around for the later (MU v. Butler) game. Luckily, the morning of the game, I decided to post my plan on the scout board. Many posters quickly informed me that once you leave the arena, you cannot re-enter. I didn't want to explain to my wife that we drive through the night to Lexington without a way into the game! Fortunately, I found some relatively cheap ($100 each!), horrible seats from some online ticket seller. We got to the arena at halftime of the earlier game. I hung around just inside the exit and two Louisville fans that were leaving early gave us their tickets.....center court about 20 rows up!!! Unfortunately it was right in the middle of the Butler section, but we didn't care.
Such an amazing game.....down 8 at half I believe. I think I held my breath the final 10 minutes. I was sure we were going to lose on a last second shot right and the end after that awful turnover. We were in my car driving home to Milwaukee within 15 minutes of the final buzzer. I drove right through the night on a Marquette high. I had my wife reading the scout and scoop board posts to my on the drive home.
Thanks for posting this as I was getting bored watching the only other highlight of this game I could find on youtube.

What in the world?!!! He's much more enthusiastic than the usual. he kinda grows on you if you watch it at least 50 times. :)
Will always love that game.
After our turnover with 2.4 on the clock I had dread beyond dread in my stomach that Clarke was going to knock another one down.

Fairly certain it's 4never, aina?
I still don't understand the controversy here... since the 1905-06 season, touching of the ball or any part of the basket while the ball is above the cylinder has been deemed basket interference. You would think a highlight announcer who actually played during that season would know the rule, even if Stevens didn't.
what a great ending capping it off with buzz doing the mountaineer shuffle-probably when larry w. popped a blood vessel and started writing his resignation letter ;D
that made me nervous just watching the highlights.
V Blue was pretty good, a'ina?
