Watched the game again. The thing that struck me most was the amount of ball movement that lineup (about the 11 min mark 1st half right after j wilson's dunk) had. Rewatch it, it's pretty amazing. Those guys just play well together. Unfortunately, they only played for one play together, but wow...what a play it was.
Dawson, JJJ, Burton, Mayo, Otule. Complete train wreck in the second half.

I agree, the ball movement is excellent and that is why we need more of them together.

And the end of the first half of the Xavier game. Really can't play the three freshmen at once.
right...
I just think if guys are getting Jabari Parker playing time... They should produce...

Why do you think JJJs time has diminshed so much... a DNP in the previous game and 6 min yest... lack of trust? Production? experience? or upperclassmen out playing him?

I think it is a bunch of the above. Todd is scoring better. Jake has a ton of experience.
I don't think JJJ's game thrives on the half court, slowdown pace MU is playing this year. I think next year we will be running more and I think his game will emerge.

JJJ has to earn the trust of the coaches to get more minutes. We don't know how he plays in practices but clearly he hasn't earned their trust. I think they are giving him minutes they do in the hope he can create a spark. I noticed if he does something good they let him play a bit more, but as soon as he does something they don't like out he comes. His quickness is something that we really need though.

Because, after the 4 minute stretch without a stoppage, with Seton Hall closing the gap, when JJJ is finally put in the game to give the starters a rest, he jacks up a early-possession, one-pass, no-ball reversal, no paint touch, heat check 3 with no conscience. Horrible decision, bad shot even if it goes, and if he is going to make those kind of decisions he should be sitting.
