Edwin and Teague both out.

Wow, if we don't win by 20 this is bad.

I know people hate on Juan and he does struggle at times. But this is why we need him. He makes those hustle plays and goes hard on the glass when he is in. He's not going to single handily win us games but his contributions when he is in do help even if he's not scoring.

Yep.....another nice 2:00 stint of action for Dawson.  Wonder if yanked because Edwin hit the 3 from corner as Dawson was providing help to the driving player - which is Buzz defense principle number one - protect the paint.

All the musical chair lineups are ridiculous.  Pick 8 guys and let them run.

Dawson, Burton, Jamil, Gardner, Jake, Mayo, Derrick, JJJ, and as a 9th Otule and spot minutes for Derrick.

No, Buzz hasn't gone 10-11 deep in conference play historically.  He usually shortens rotation to 8 guys.

And FYI - with all the strength and conditioning these guys do - they aren't going to not be fresh if they play anything less than 25 minutes.

Last Season Rotation during conference play:
1 Cadougan
2 Blue
3 Lockett
4 J Wilson
5 Gardner
6 Otule
7 Mayo
8 D Wilson
9 Anderson
10 Taylor
11 Thomas

The top 10 played in every conference game I believe. Thomas played in a handful. That's a 10-11 man rotation

But I agree on the second point. With as athletic as we are, we should be able to get 30+ mins a game out of our best players if we need it

They were desperation shots as the clock was about to expire. He didn't want to even shoot. If he makes a couple in the normal flow of the offense then I could buy it. I wonder if teams sagging off him gets in his head at all?

We should be winning handily.  We are at home.  Seton Hall is awful, down a couple of players.  St. Peter University beat Seton Hall this year.

The frustration stems from the results of the season thus far, and the bizarre starting lineup, and merry go round of players - other than consistently giving max minutes to a highly ineffective point guard.

Mu has missed last six threes.  Two by Gardner, two wide open by Jake and one really wide open by Mayo.

Gardner has no clue for taking them, when he has no legs left.

MU stopped going inside and the lead has been decreased. SH bigmen are in serious foul trouble and MU just chucking up the ball.

Otule a turnover machine.

Jamil has been a vanishing act in second half.  No points and two bad turnovers.

Jake 0 for 4, all from three. But hustling like a madman.

MU scored only 18 in second half so far.  Too many threes missed.

And D Wil misses another three at shot clock.

This could actually be a four point game.

I think the back and forth on topics can be good for a message board. Calling people whiny bitches because you don't agree with their perspective is ridiculous. Nothing new to this team.  Believe SH was 9 for 19 from three.

MU shot 47%, but had like 10 fewer shots than SH.

Gardner with 6 points against this weak SH frontline.  His three point attempts were brutal.  One good game, one bad.  One good, one bad.

Jake had zero points.  Missed all his shots, mainly wide open, but his other phase of games were awesome.

Juan had his first two points in BE play.

Burton not bashful, but man he has energy and needs to calm down.

Todd wins the game for MU.

Glad we won, but that was pathetic. SHU is clearly a crummy team, and damn near won the game. No secret what they did--packed it in more than any team this year giving nothing inside. De. Wilson our stud PG can't make a FT, can't shoot and can't handle a token press. Jake could not make a shot. Anderson adds nothing.

No secret to beat us--pack it in and take your chances on 3's. Guard Jake/Mayo and let Derrick dribble it around on perimeter.

Guess what--we will have a 50% FT shooting PG with the keys next year.

What kind of a "Freaking" second half was that. We were so scared to shoot. We we did it looked like s---t
What a team. Worst than Dukiet  and Deane days.

The momentum in this game shifted when the refs awarded a three pointer to Gibbs that was actually after the shot clock. That cut the lead to 6. That doesn't happen and I don't think Hall cuts it as close as they do.

Also, you cut out the three that shouldn't have counted and the last second prayer and we win by 7. Much more respectable

Not when it fouls a player out. Also, with how hot they have been from three, I would have played D and have taken the 13 seconds to get a three

Dumb luck threes against us every damn time.

Not how I thought we would win but a win nonetheless. They hit a lot of contested threes down the stretch to keep it close.
Can you still call it dumb luck when it happens consistently?  Or is MU just bad at 3 point defense.  I understand today and at XU there were some contested 3's hit, but teams getting hot beyond the arc against us is a pattern, not dumb luck.

It has been that way under different coaching staff and for as long as I can remember. But don't know if it is just them or us.

You couldn't possibly have watched those teams and say this.

Juan had his first two points in BE play.

Which CO was at least 75% responsible for as he completely sealed off his man and gave Juan an uncontested lane to the basket.

To Lenny---I watched and we really didn't do well. "Sudden Sam" was the only one. We had some moral victories. Yuk!

Also saw "Slick Rick"blow the game against North Carolina and Joe Wolf. We had 'em. Compared to Al what can I say. Have been a MU backer for 40 some years. Saw lots of ups and downs. Met Al twice and got to two
senior parties. Henry wasn't that bad either. So I saw good basketball.  Usually team ball. Hate Wisco.

Sorry, but time must have altered some of your memories.  Dukiet teams were simply brutal, and I would much rather have to listen to the constant complaints about Derrick that think about a team led by Jarrod Lovette.

We are not that good. I thought we were gonna be good this year

Jarrod Lovette did not play for Dukiet.   There was no 'Sudden Sam', either.     Powell, Anglavar, Foley, Flory, Grosse, Candelino, Sims, Nethen, Ellenson, Tony Smith....   So bad.  This team finishes 13-5 in league.   No comparison.   Anybody honestly making that comparison has foggy memories or an entitlement complex.   Perhaps a closer comparison would be 03-04, 04-05

I know. I was including the Deane years from the comment cited.  Not quite as painful as the Dukiet years, but they brought their own special type of torment.
