Title: Our Keys to Marquette v. Seton Hall
Post by: andymartinelli2 on January 10, 2014, 03:41:59 PM
The loss to Xavier (OK, almost moving on) and the upcoming schedule imbue Saturday's game with even greater importance for the Golden Eagles. After this, they're on the road against Butler and Georgetown before coming home to face Villanova (MCBR #4, AP #8). Based on results through Thursday...

Key to the game is simple: score more points than SH!

Haven't you been reading this board? We are useless because DG is fat, lazy, can't rebound, can't play D, has a poor attitude, and is whiny? He also does not practice hard, which is why Buzzo now starts him. Boy, now there would be a great thread--would it not? So why should he get 37 minutes? Otule has been here since Reagan was President, and he deserves the minutes.

That's what happens when we lose. All of the negative nancys come out telling Buzz how to coach.

Derrick 20 Dawson 20
Jake 30 Mayo 30 Burton 20
Jamil 30 Steve 10
Gardner 30 Otule 10

JJJ hasn't been good in conference play. Less of a play maker than Derrick.

I like it, although I'd still like to see JJJ get 15 minutes - take away 5 each from Jake, Mayo and Steve in the above scenario....JJJ has a lot of potential and game, just needs to get a few good stretches of run and see the shot fall a few times.  Would like JJJ to get 2, 7-8 minute stints of run and see what happens.

You might be right or you might be wrong about this PT distribution resulting in a win. But I do hope you know you won't find out because there is no way in hell Buzz is going to play Derrick only 10 minutes.

I'm not commenting on whether he should or shouldn't. That's immaterial. It's simply not going to happen. So you have set up a scenario where you can't possibly be proven right or wrong.
