Ah yes, Champps at Keystone Crossing... the Viagra Triangle of Indianapolis (or more appropriately, the Cialis Triangle.)

Not the Marquette I knew and loved...
What hotels are people staying at? I'm not looking for anything fancy just something relatively cheap. When I search on hotwire, hotels.com, trivago, etc a lot of hotels by the airport show up, is that far from Butler? Thanks for the feedback
There aren't any hotels near Butler. That said, going from the airport to Hinkle isn't terrible, but it's not the most convenient either.
We're staying with friends, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay at an airport hotel if it meant saving a few bucks. However, if you're going to do the pre-game reception, you might want to look at something up north... the Carmel & Castleton areas have a plethora of decent 3-star hotels, and from either place it won't take you more than 10-15 minutes to get to Champps.

We've got a relatively big group staying at the Homewood Suites at the Crossings, which will work perfectly with the Alumni event.
We are actually going down to tour the Butler campus with our HS kids and then going to the game. We are staying at the Marriott near the Chammps restaurant and I think it is only about 10 minutes away.
Plenty of Marriott properties around that are 15-30 minutes away and I am sure they are dozens of other brands too.
...to clarify...all non-alcoholic beverages are complimentary. Beer and cocktails will be available for purchase at the cash bar. ;)
FYI -- Hyatt Place/Keystone has rooms for $103/nt (prepayment required). Hotel is about 1/2 mi from the reception.
I actually booked a room at the Quality Inn in Castleton, it was $72 a night. Thanks though
