Same deal every year...the Santa Ana winds blow and the nutjobs run out and start setting fires. It's been this way in the 30+ years (off and on) that I've lived down here.
No ashes at our house, but the sky is orange and we can smell the smoke. A few years ago I had ashes all over my roof and driveway.
Personally, I'd like it when they capture these guys to set them ablaze and give them their full justice.
Stay safe everyone.

You wouldn't want that.
They'd run into other open spaces where dry brush ISN'T on fire yet. ;)
That's interesting, Chicos .. the national media doesn't mention the arson angle of the story. Do they have a special motive (anti-development) or are they just arsonists for the fun of it?

I heard rumors of arson, but only rumours. Seems like it is more due to natural causes - record breaking heat during the summer, drought and wind. Apparently, the fire in malibu was started by a power cable that was blown over by heavy wind.

Pyro-terrorism? Great, just what we need.
