I guess...... Can't argue with this number, though I don't like it.
Take the points.
Anybody with a Kenpom account, what does his model predict as a victor and point spread?
buyer at that number. I like our chances.
+9, huh?
That's three 3-pointers, and we know to take the "over" in that category.
We will have to make a lot of FTs (not likely on the road in a very hostile environment) or get a lot of transition buckets (which has not been a strength) to make up for the 3-point disparity.
+9 sounds about right ... and I hope I'm wrong about that!
No contest
I HATE that this game is at 9pm on NYE. This may be the first MU game I have missed in several years.

Here in the ET zone, it is on at 10, which is even worse.
We are going to our party, we'll be home by 1 a.m., and then I will blaze my way through the game on the DVR. Hopefully, we'll be going to bed happy at about 2 a.m. (With a wife as beautiful as mine, I go to bed happy every night, so let's keep this clean.)
Marquette leads the series 48-28 and has won five of the past seven meetings. ... The fact that some fans were trying to sell tickets on the secondary market for as much as $300 per seat left Creighton Athletic Director Bruce Rasmussen mind-boggled. He and the other veteran members of the athletic department can remember days when the Bluejays had trouble giving away tickets. "To think you could pay for the cost of your season ticket with one game is amazing," Rasmussen said. ... Marquette lists 6-7 forward Jamil Wilson as a probable starter even though he missed most of Saturday's victory over Samford after hurting his knee. An MRI revealed a knee sprain, and he's listed day-to-day. Wilson is the Golden Eagles' second-leading scorer with an 11.7 average. ... CU is 2-7 in games played on New Year's Eve, and is 5-2 in games played at the CenturyLink in which the starting time was 8:30 p.m. or later.

I just hope I can figure out how to work my DVR when I get home at 2am. Not counting on it.
I would probably stay away from betting this game either way, mainly because Wilson's status is uncertain and without him I would want more than 9. Also, that place is going to be insane tonight and will be a very difficult road test for us. Having said that, we've played pretty well in tough environments at ASU and Wisconsin. SDSU also felt like a road game. Of course, we lost all those games but had a chance late. I do think we are due for one of these games to go our way.

Overdue.
Nice positive comment, and a realistic one, too.
If we are going to win, we'll have to play our best game of the year. And this won't be the last time that is the truth.
Money Line MU is +350. Triple up for the New Year? I'm at least taking the points.
