DePaul hired Donald Pope-Davis as Provost. He came to DePaul from ND. He started last February.
Last week he unexpectedly resigned. He will take a 6 month sabbatical and return to DePaul as a tenured professor in the psychology department both teaching and doing research.
MU is looking for a Provost too. Two similar schools 90 miles apart looking for the same thing. Do you think this neagtively affects MUs search?

Depends on how big of a hoops fan the top candidate would be.
At least DePaul is somehow still not looking for a new AD.

I doubt MU will fill the Provost position before it fills the Presidential vacancy.

That is a miracle. I guess being married to a former basketball star means never being held accountable at DePaul.
Well, I guess one thing DePaul and Marquette both have learned is to not hire people from Notre Effin Dame!
Oh, and ...
Buzz to DePaul provost!

Huh?
Do you look for any reason to conduct a poll or survey, no matter how tangential and obtuse?
That Marquette and DePaul are both looking to hire a provost is cause for concern and worrisome to you?
