Curious for those who have watched him far more especially pre college. Was his ft shooting always this awful?
Probably 5th game I've seen this year and he makes DeAndre Jordan look like Davante "automatic" Gardner(last year version).
Heck of a player though. He's everywhere vs UK. But mind boggling seeing a this bad a free throw shooter especially for a guy with his size and skill.
It's not good, - I don't know that he can get to a 55% - 60% level which may limit his minutes because of his cutting style.

Yeah i don't get it. I know some big centers/PF can be brick layers but he's a super athletic switchable. Shocking how off he is.
Guy can play though damn. If him and mcadoo learn the "simple" parts of the game. Unc could be a force by March with Hairston likely back.
Frankly, I hope the young man flops out there in Tarheel land. Serve old Cheatin' Roy right.
Roy isn't a cheater. In fact, other coaches do not like him because he has turned in violators for minor infractions.

True statement. I don't like Roy. But by all accounts he does thing right. Vitale(screw this clown) was going off about Hairston being still suspended. Such a ACC homer.
Hairston made idiotic decisions. I like that Roy is playing through it.
Lose to UAB and Belmont? Beat UL MSU and UK.
Very respectable.

The only reason they didn't come to Marquette was because of Larry Williams!

If you're asking me the answer is truth. Both Larry Brown and Roy rediscovered their youth in Lawrence. My wife was teaching at KU back in the day and got the inside scoop.

In the case of Larry Brown the young Kansas coed gained considerable weight over the course of nine months...

Larry for sure, he was a beast in Lawrence with the ladies. Didn't hear that about Roy, however.

There is no comparison between the two but Ol' Roy dipped his bucket at least once into a freshly drilled well there in Lawrence. The sky is big and the winters long on the prairie. A man can get mighty lonely on the Plains. There is primal comfort in a crackling log fire, a hearty venison stew, a snort of rye whisky, and the beguiling charms of a winsome woman.
