Marquette nearly sets new field goal percentage record in rout of IUPUI
Though the competition was lacking, Marquette played arguably its most complete game of the season, rolling past IUPUI 86-50 Saturday afternoon. The Golden Eagles shot 64.9 percent from the field and hit six 3-pointers. The percentage came close to setting a new program record. The old record was 67.4 percent against Notre Dame on Jan. What is also interesting....this wasn't even the best field goal shooting game by MU this SEASON. Second to GSU game...and 2nd best since 97-98....yet we don't consider this team to be a good shooting team because of the droughts. Feast or famine with this team, high or low.
