Craig Pintens serves as the Senior Associate Athletic Director/Marketing & Public Relations at the University of Oregon. In his role he oversees the marketing and communications departments, serves as department spokesperson, manages the IMG College relationship (corporate sponsorship) and serves as the liaison with the Pac-12 network.

Prior to Oregon, Pintens worked at LSU and as the Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing. At LSU, Pintens was responsible for oversight of all marketing efforts highlighted by implementation of strategic ticket sales plans, leading to record ticket sales and attendance numbers. His role in developing a social media strategy led to one of the largest social media imprints in college athletics.

Previously, Pintens was at Marquette University where he served as the Associate Athletic Director of Marketing and Sales. At Marquette, Pintens was responsible for external efforts of the department and served as the sport administrator for men's soccer. While at Marquette, Pintens established attendance and revenue records in both men's and women's basketball ranking in the top ten nationally in men's basketball attendance.

Prior to Marquette, Pintens served as the Marketing Coordinator at the University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA) from 2002-04, where he managed all sales, promotions, marketing and game day operations while serving as member of athletic department executive (senior) staff. Pintens was instrumental in record corporate sales numbers and successfully negotiated the first ever-Spanish radio broadcast of Bronc Athletics.

Pintens has also worked with the Milwaukee Brewers, Beloit Snappers and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Athletic Department.

The National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) has honored Pintens with awards twenty-five times in the areas of season ticket campaigns, advertising, ticket sales, new media, video and corporate sponsorship. Pintens has been a featured speaker at various conferences throughout the country in the areas of marketing, revenue generation, social media and game atmosphere.

Pintens received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing cum laude from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater and his Juris Doctor degree from the Marquette University School of Law. Pintens is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar and serves as the President of NACMA. Pintens resides in Eugene with his wife Jill and children Kaitlin, Jackson, Tate and Avery.

Pintens would be a great choice, but I still feel that it's time for Broeker to get a shot. The guy showed unparalleled loyalty to Marquette when he stayed around after Cottingham was dismissed and he was (rightly) passed over. He knows the program like no other and has earned the opportunity. I have a feeling if we go outside the program, this time we might really see Broeker leave.

A UW-Whitewater grad?  So we go from an Irish fan to a Badger fan?  (teal of course)

Hey, careful with the UW Whitewater remarks!

Sorry. Not all UW Whitewater grads are Wisconsin fans.

And since we are making that leap, how do you feel about a West Va. with a tattoo of them on his arm playing for our team?

I got the opportunity to speak with Broeker a few times when I was a student and at a few events as an alum (most recently the Wooden). Really struck me as an intelligent man who is both passionate about the program and methodical in his approach. I'd like to see him get a shot.

Pintens is also a fantastic candidate. Either would be a great ad for MU.

I wonder if I'll be a candidate this time.

I'm very organized. Dedicated. Enthusiastic. And Jewish.

Isn't it about time this school get a members of my Tribe in a position of power?

If Broeker is passed over this time, does he really have an option? This is the University's opportunity to get someone in for the long haul who is very highly skilled. He will run an NBA or other pro sports team someday. This is a no brainer to me. A period of time for Fr. Wild to reflect on it but then make the move without further hesitation.

I know Craig Pintens.  Very impressive guy.  But I think even he will tell you this...he probably isn't qualified to be AD due to the specialization of his job at Oregon.  Broeker as AD...Pintens to Broeker's old role.

I'd take that.

Would Broeker's old role be an upgrade for Pintens? Oregon has one helluva atheltic department

And it seemed to come out of nowhere.  I don't remember Oregon being relevant at all and then boom, 2005 (06?) happens and all of a sudden they are consistently in the national spotlight.  Basketball even doing well recently.

If he wants to be an AD someday, then my guess is that he has to diversify his experience beyond marketing.  Compliance...administration...lots of parts to an athletic department.

I'm guessing he's not going to want to leave a great situation to come to a non-football school.
